We provide easy-to-read reports without the use of unhelpful jargon. We aim to inspect, prepare and issue a report within 24 hours of the inspection taking place.
The government has created the Help to Buy schemes including Help to Buy: Shared Ownership and Help to Buy: Equity Loan to help hard-working people like you take steps to buy your own home. The valuation report may be required if you want to buy more shares, borrow more money on your mortgage, or sell your home.
Party Wall Services provide expert party wall advice for all party wall matters. We have experience and expertise in a diverse range of party wall issues and can help you in connection with a diverse range of projects, from domestic extensions, to large commercial developments. We are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
We use the very latest robotic, reflectorless Leica TCRP 1205+ Total Stations. This combines speed and precision meaning the minimum disruption to you, your clients and neighbouring properties. We also use optical levelling equipment and hand held laser distance measures (Disto's). Topographical surveys, also known as land surveys, are detailed accurate plan drawings identifying both natural and man-made features within a specified area.
Our Commercial Building Surveys help you understand the pros and cons of the property, aligned to budget costs for significant items, putting you in an informed position to negotiate the purchase price or the terms of your new lease. We don't believe in wasting our client's money, so if we think you shouldn't proceed or there are major issues, we'll let you know straight away and 'stop the clock'.

We are very happy with the building survey that Mayfords carried out for me. The firm was able to carry out the survey and send me the report very promptly. I had good communication with them before and after the survey. The survey report was detailed and comprehensive. It covered all areas of the house and gave me a full understanding of the condition of the property and the issues present. This gave me the information I needed to obtain quotes for repair work and to renegotiate the price with the seller. The surveyor was very responsive and helpful in answering my follow up questions. The service from start to finish was extremely efficient. The office kept us fully informed, the surveyor called beforehand to ask if we wanted anything to specifically be looked at, and he called again once he'd done the survey to tell us his findings. I would highly recommend Mayfords to all family and friends! We were under enormous pressure to leave our existing property and therefore the survey of our new property was very urgent. Despite having a slightly cheaper quote, I appointed Mayfords Chartered Surveyors to carry out our Homebuyers Survey as they were local and recommended. They did not disappoint with a speedy and efficient service which has enabled us to proceed with the purchase of our new home without delay.
