Throughout each day, all dogs will have a minimum of 3 individual sessions of 'extendable-lead' walking in the adjacent expansive fields. We are a small family run kennels established in 2005 offering the highest quality of care and individual attention to every dog in residence. None of the blocks face each other which allows for a relaxed and quiet atmosphere for each of our guests. All of our kennels can accommodate large breeds or a number of family pets quite comfortably. Each kennel has a fully tiled, draught-free individually heated indoor bedroom area and a covered outside play area.

Without exception, all dogs are fed the same diet that you feed them at home. This will be provided by us and is included in the stated price.
Shepherd House Boarding Kennels is located in Thorne, a lively little town in South Yorkshire. After you have dropped off your furry friend at our kennels, why not head into town to check out some of the attractions. Our town is situated along the Stainforth and Keadby Canal if you want to go for a walk along the calming water.
We have been taking our two dogs Molly and Ella to Shepherd House for the last 6 years or so. We spent a long time searching for good kennels and fell upon Shepherd House when looking at a couple of others locally. We arrived unannounced and were shown around including the kennels themselves which were spotlessly clean.
We are based on the outskirts of the market town of Thorne, just 8 miles north of Doncaster. You will find us on the right-hand side of the A614 Selby Road, about 100 yards after leaving Junction 6 of the M18 and conveniently, about 20 minutes from Doncaster airport. For drop off and collection, 9am - 12 noon and 2pm - 4pm.

My fur baby (Jasper) was so content with his stay with Anita & Robin, he didn't attack his tail. On previous stays at other kennels he has, so much it has been documented at the vets as was so bad. But staying here he didn't once attack it, I'm sure this is to do with the care and attention given by the owners. He is now booked in on another two occasions. Thankyou Anita Robin.

Huge thanks to Anita & Robin for taking our dog, Obi, in for half term at the last minute. We've just picked him up & it was obvious he was settled & happy there. He has come home extremely fluffy & smelling fresh, which is a lovely bonus! He also wears a FitBark and his barkpoints are through the roof! He'll be bored now he's home 😂 Thanks once again! Highly recommended x

So impressed with the care given to Toby, we left him at shepherd house for a week, on arrival at the kennels I was reassured that he would be OK has the owners spent time asking about his requirements and explained how they gave the dogs plenty of walks and attention, on collection today we found Toby to be happy and settled, I would not hesitate to book him in again, all I can say is thank you and keep up the good work.
