Va' Pensiero Italian Restaurant

Well what can I say,my daughter went to the restaurant last night,she had been numerous times before,she ordered sirloin steak medium rare the first couple of mouthfuls were ok well the rest of the steak was not edable full of fat and gristle she called the waitress and asked to see the manager,when he eventually arrived her partner had finished his meal,the manager was so rude no people skills what’s oever, we will not be going back and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.Manners Cost Nothing.

Wowowowowow food was delicious and I must say cooked to perfection! Great place nice interior and good vibe definitely recommend! Plenty of parking around the area too

They coped very well with our large party. Nine adults, one teenager, five childern and two toddlers. Excellent food and service, all at a very reasonable price.
We love it here, Highly recommended hence the five stars.

Lovely Italian Restaurant, delicious Italian food, nice people. Definitely recommend this place, if you are around.

The whole place is like so romantic in the sense of serenity and decor.
Very large portions of excellent Italian food, plenty of space around the tables.
The wonderful lady who took our order was very helpful, polite and welcoming! Yummy big plates of breakfasts!
We visited for the first time since lockdown and it was as fantastic as ever. I’d highly recommend Va Pensiero you love great quality food and a friendly atmosphere. Great for veggies too!

Great food...starters, mains and desert. Good atmosphere and good service. A bit pricey but worth a visit if your looking for good food.

Very average Italian food, not particularly authentic.. and pretty pricey.
Service also not great, ponderously slow even on quiet nights. Manager seems to have a pretty big chip on his shoulder for some reason.
Been here three times over the years, hoping that it will improve or that maybe we just caught them on a bad night...seems not to be the case. I'm no paid chef but I can knock up a considerably better carbonara at home... if you're going to call yourself an Italian resturant you should at least be able to get the classics right.
Pizzas are better than the pasta dishes... but honestly

I adore this restaurant and I’m really pleasantly surprised by how they are operating post-covid.
Changes have been made for safety and social distancing, but it hasn’t effected the vibe and experience. We all love it there.
We went for late lunch this week and it was wonderful food as always.
The staff are very friendly, especially to my 3yr old who had around 9274 questions 🙄🤣.
They’re a delightful business and I’d recommend them over and over.
Oh, and the food is incredible yet not super expensive.

We last went a few years ago. The food is still exceptional quality. The halloumi is the best we've tasted still. And the spaghetti also.
The service was a bit "off" this time. Whilst dividers are up and they clearly are cleaning between customers, it was packed and very noisy. The staff were busy and didn't really give the friendly service one would expect.
Great food and indifferent service means we may for elsewhere. Shame. As the food is great. But it's not put us off indefinitely. Just for another time.

Wedding anniversary yesterday. Recovering from chest infection so not well enough to go into central London, get tickets for a show and have a pre-show meal. We agreed a meal nearer to home would be good. Brother-in-law suggested this restaurant so we booked a table for tonight.

Menu's not bad, ££ but then you expect to pay a little more for a restaurant that's menu is up-market and, of course, you're celebrating something special.

Was happy with my tricolore salad. Husband ordered Mozzarella in carrozza which is deep fried mozzarella in bread crumbs with a touch of tomato

This restaurant is slightly up market of Belle Italia etc.. The menu has lots of tasty options. I like that you can get most pasta dishes as an accompaniment to your meat dish.
Staff as polite and attentive (it was not busy when I went). However, as this is a reasonable price the customers don't feel reserved in behaviour and therefore will be loud.
The quality of food is good, the pasta was delicious. My prawns were over cooked however, so my rules are that I knock a star off if I can cook it better.

Some time since I have eaten here, from time to time I do pop in for a drink. As they expanded the food quality and portion sizes suffered. Can get a bit noisey but still a great buzz in here.

A lovely restaurant, always very bizzy in the evenings, food is fantastic, only thing that let me down was how noisy it is in there, you have screaming horrible spoilt brats in the mix its horrible experience, which has slightly put me off going here, for some reason it does attract mums with fifteen kids.

Fantastic Italian restuarant!! one of (if not) the best in surrounding london, the food and location is fantastic and very well priced also!! knocks most other restaurants such as your asks and prezzo's and also pizza express out of the water!!


Would strongly recommend everyday of the week!!

Best Italian I have eaten in. Busy all week though so book in advance, especially weekends.
