This is a happy, vibrant school with a wonderful energy to it. I truly believe that in order for a school to be successful it must be a motivating, happy and safe place to be. I make no excuses for having high expectations of both our staff and children! We encourage and nurture a strong sense of partnership between the school and the family and these things lie at the heart of children's happiness and success at Sheet.
Our aim is to 'make a difference for every child' and we constantly pursue opportunities to help children grow, be prepared for our grown up world and believe anything is possible.

It begins with the belief that every child is unique and has their own special qualities. We want to ensure that every child can shine through with their achievements in the curriculum and through their individual personalities. We believe that our children are going to face a variety of challenges throughout their lives and we wish to prepare them as fully as we can.
We know that our children face challenging and exciting futures. As a school we are charged with the responsibility of ensuring that every child leaves the school well prepared. Your child is taught how to think, be creative and work with others. We give high priority to your child's emotional wellbeing so that they become resilient learners and people.
We are an inclusive school where children with Special Educational Needs and disabilities (SEND) are involved in all aspects of school life inside and outside the classroom. All children are encouraged to be fully involved in their learning journeys and to express their opinions openly and honestly.
Our philosophy is that children learn through fun, meaningful experiences. We have a balance of teacher-led and child initiated activities throughout the school day. We encourage parents to be fully involved in their child's learning through home learning tasks or coming into share their skills during topic time.
Now that we are in Years Five and Six we aim to lead by example, showing what can be achieved by hard work, commitment and being open minded and interested. We make the most of every opportunity, whether academic, sporting or creative. We are learning to be responsible and independent, ready for the next step.
