At Montys Nursery & Pre-school in Richmond we understand that choosing the right nursery for your child is a big step; after all you are giving over the care of your little ones to someone else. Services
No. 32 is a private house which has been converted to provide a spacious and safe environment for the children, whilst retaining a cosy, at home feeling. We have a lovely secluded garden at the rear of the house where the children enjoy a wonderful variety of outdoor activities. Children move through a series of coloured rooms which are geared to their stage of development.
In Pre-School, learning is more structured than in Blue room. Activities are planned in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS). All class planning and activities are designed around the children's interests and will help develop their social skills, listening skills, self discipline, ability to work with others, independence and confidence.
Our aims are to make sure that every child feels happy, safe and secure whilst developing a lively enquiring mind. We aim to help fulfil every child's potential in all aspects of personal development. We know that our approach gives lasting benefits to children and lays secure foundations for their next stage of personal development and learning ready to make the next steps to reception.
Every week our pre-school and blue room children attend our local nature reserve at Pensford Fields. We believe that being outside offers excellent opportunities for both learning and playing and gives children the chance to explore the natural environment around them. Children will attend in most weathers (not extreme weather) enabling them to learn about the different seasons and different life cycles of trees, flowers and local wildlife.
At Montys, we believe that healthy foods produce healthy, happy children. To help us achieve this we employ a nursery chef who prepares all meals on the premises using the finest natural ingredients, most of which are organic and are locally sourced. Montys regards snack and meal times as an important part of the nursery day.
