At Little Scallywags nursery, we support our children through an inclusive and nurturing ethos in a home from home setting. Services
At Little Scallywags Nursery, we operate a key worker system. Your child's key worker will support you and your child during the settling period, as well as observe and support their development. We, at Little Scallywags Nursery believe it is important for all children and parents to develop bonds with staff.
Our Little Stars room is for our youngest children and can take up to 9 children, aged between three months and two years of age, with a one to three ratio. In our Little Stars room we try to ensure a home from home environment, following children's normal daily routines as much as possible.
We believe it is important for our youngest children to have some home comforts and ask you to provide a home drinking cup and bedding as well as any special comforters, these simple items help to settle children and reassure them.On collection, you will be given a daily record sheets, which reports about your child's day, the food they have eaten, nappy changes etc.

This room takes up to 15 children aged 2 years to 3 years of age, with a one to five ratio. The Pre-Birth to Three frameworks has also been implemented in this room. Children are provided with a range of exploratory play and schematic play resources and experiences.
They are also supported and encouraged to develop self-help skills during this stage, such as, following daily routines, helping to prepare snack, and dressing and undressing for outdoor play.We continue to believe in the need for a home from home environment and encourage parents to supply home comforts such as special toys and home bedding for nap times.

Our pre-school room can take up to 24 children, aged between three and five, with a one to eight ratio. Here the staff and children follow the Curriculum for Excellence. This room is supported by the owner of Little Scallywags Nursery, who is a qualified Early Years teacher.
Victoria supports staff and children in planning activities to ensure children are reaching their Developmental Milestones and are ready for the start of their school journey.The children are very much involved in the ongoing planning of both the learning and the ever-changing learning environment.

Little Scallywags Nursery provide an after-school club provision for both Crieff and Comrie Primary Schools from Strathearn Community Campus. The children are collected at the end of the school day by members of our staff and are either transported using our minibus or by walking depending on the school they attend.

I am a photographer I have done Christmas mini sessions lately and I can say that staff at scallywags are truly amazing and dedicated lovley girls. All the children are well looked after and loved, they have helped me to get them comfortable for the photoshoots and honesty I cannot recommend the nursery enough to the new parents. It was a pleasure to be a part of the team.

After having scallywags look after both my children for nearly seven years It has gotten better over time. the after school club is fantastic, with lots of activities for older children. My youngest is still in the nursery he loves the fact that there are lots of different activities happening each day. Thank you everyone for continuing to look after our children
