Here at Dales Traditional Butchers, we aim to provide you with the best quality produce and service possible. Your order will be chilled and can be delivered in freezer-ready vacuum packs. We use a professional courier service for national deliveries and these are dispatched securely packed in thermal lined boxes.
Enjoy prime quality, locally farmed beef that's been carefully selected from farms in Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. Dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days in our Himalayan salt chamber, the beef developes a wonderful texture and flavour. Whether it's a comforting stew, a satisfying Sunday roast, or a juicy steak, you'll enjoy beef with a spectacular flavour that's melt-in-the-mouth tender.
Reared on the fells and pastures of Cumbria, with rich grazing and plenty of space to roam, this produces meat that not only tastes great, it's beautifully tender too. If you're looking for inspiration. Shoulder is a fabulous cut for slow-roasting, and our great value minced lamb is what you need for a comforting Shepherd's Pie.
We cure all of our bacon in-house and use only prime quality, locally farmed Saddleback pork. Well worth that little bit extra to spoil yourself. Whether you're looking for delicious rashers of bacon for your weekend fry-up, or a lean and succulent gammon joint. Our home-cured bacon and gammon will always please.
At Dales, we're famous for the delicious variety of sausages we produce and they've won us numerous awards over the years. Good old, plain pork are still a big favourite, but perhaps you'd like to give some of other choices a try: Pork & Mr Vikkis Chilli Jam - Pork & Black Pudding - Lamb & Apricot - Toulouse, to name just a small selection.

Very poor! They say to support local businesses I’d rather travel and buy a pie! My father was treated and spoken to like he was a idiot. Misunderstanding an order, but he got the blame then was told they’d only take a card, eventually took cash but not before making him feel he was a burden on the shop.

The best butchers I have ever been to. Any meal I make with meat from here is always a success. Fantastic selection, beautiful display, always leave with more than I intended to buy. Sausages and bacon are… always brilliant, pies are fantastic, home made black pudding is a phenomenon. I’m drooling just writing about the place and that’s without talking about the dry aged beef or locally reared pork... One of the highlights of living in Kirkby Lonsdale!

Just had one of the best steaks I have ever had. Ira cut me the perfect Ribeye steak, which I pan fried tonight. As it cooked I knew this was going to be superb. Great flavour, from a lengthy dry ageing ... tender yet meaty. I must confess the only steak that topped this ... was a Wagyu steak bought from Victoria Market in Melbourne.... I kid you not.
