Situated in the picturesque Shropshire countryside, The Yockleton Arms is located between the villages of Yockleton and Westbury near Stoney Stretton, approximately 8 miles from Shrewsbury. The Yockleton Arms was once better known as The Pink Elephant and before that The Elephant & Castle. The team pride themselves on making it a warm and friendly atmosphere, also welcoming dogs too.

This quaint countryside restaurant also offers an outside seating area to enjoy a relaxed drink and food in the sun! The Yockleton Arms can accommodate for any occasion, from Christenings to birthday parties, with its ample parking and extensive grounds. I ate here last night with a large group of friends, around 25-30 of us. The food was superb, every plate showed care and attention to detail and was cooked beautifully.

Been here a few times but last night we celebrated my hubby's birthday, the staff were fab and very helpful as always. Food was top notch. Everyone enjoyed even the people who hadn't previously been all said food and staff were lovely.

On going away for a birthday weekend we decided to spend one of the evenings dining here and we are so glad that we did - the food was great and the staff were great, attentive without being overbearing with some great recommendations for food (and drinks). It really sold the area to us and should we be back I’m sure we would visit again!

In August i took my family for a meal. Food was good. However half way through the meal one of the ladies passive aggressively announced to us from the centre of the room ‘keep the noise down, there are other… people in the restaurant’. This was aimed at my 2 year old nephew after 7pm who was getting excited and making choo choo noises. It was not dealt with tactfully.
I left a review complimentary towards the food and other staff on Trip advisor. We still tipped as the other staff were great.

A gorgeous country pub! The surrounding area is beautiful and so peaceful. And the food...wow! Great prices for hearty grub. Highly recommend, staff are lovely too

Came here with some friends for the Thursday special offer. I brought my very well behaved dog and was welcomed in happily. Good job really as the weather was pouring down!!
There was a good selection of food. The ambiance of the pub was relaxing yet pleasant. Not to noisy. Lots of different age groups too.
The food was absolutely delicious 😋 better then a few fancier places we've visited in Shrewsbury town centre, where they've been a lot more expensive!!
The waitresses, although young girls , they certainly were very accommodating, polite and worked very hard to make our meal taste and

Great service from arrival to when we left.
All staff were friendly, polite and professional. We were kept topped up with drinks while we waited for our table - we purposely arrived early for a drink before dinner.
Chicken burgers were really nice and crispy - just needed a touch more Aioli ...
We'll definitely be returning soon.

Was recommended this place approach the place and it seemed welcoming polite attentive staff nothing was to much (don’t look down on arrival )
Menu was just what we wanted fresh hot food cooked to how we like it £17 for 3 courses Bargain hence the large tip.

The Sunday roast beef dinner and sticky toffee pudding was delicious and plentiful. Great service and very attentive pleasant young staff. A great find if you don't know the area. Somewhere you would most likely just drive past. We'll worth a visit if you are looking for good food and reasonably priced drinks. Dog friendly too!
