Puddleducks Pre-school Salisbury is located in an idyllic woodland setting based in the grounds of Harnham Infant School. It provides excellent care and education in a rich and stimulating environment for children aged 2-5 years. Puddleducks is passionate about delivering excellent standards of care and early education for our children offering a unique environment, which supports the children's learning and development both indoors and out.
Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff team are well qualified and ably supported by the Manager. All aspects of our curriculum and approach to learning are designed to develop self-esteem and independence, enabling children to take their place in society as happy, confident individuals. We always remember that every child is an individual and this uniqueness is at the heart of everything we do at Puddleducks.

Services
I am honoured and very privileged to be the Owner and Manager of Puddleducks. After managing the setting as a committee run charity for 4.5 years, when the committee struggled to recruit new members and was in need of change, I made the decision to offer to buy the business. I have over 16 years experience working in Early Years.
Puddleducks Pre-school provides an environment in which all children are included, valued and supported to reach their potential, regardless of religion, social or economic background, gender, disability, ability or ethnicity. We uphold and teach pupils about British Values and have a broadly Christian ethos, with regular visits from the Harnham Churches Association.
Every two weeks we have a book and word of which we focus on. We explore the book a lot and use the word as much as we can so all children are exposed to it and hopefully learn to use it themselves in the correct context. For some children it will be the first time they have heard the word and for others it will be about solidifying their knowledge of the word.
On our 'This week.' page you will find our 'Book of the Week' and 'Word of the Week' for both Ducklings and Ducks. You can also view a home learning idea of the week as well. We encourage you to explore these words and books with your child at home, if you would like any advise on this, please do get in touch and we will be more than happy to share some ideas with you.
Our fees are set at 5.75 per hour and this is reviewed annually in line with our fees policy. Some families are eligible to receive 30 hours funding, eligibility is mainly based on working hours and income. All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours' funding through the government's Nursery Education Grant.

My daughter has been going to Puddleducks for a year now. It has a lovely outdoor section where the kids can play freely. You can view what they’ve done during the day on Tapestry as getting any information out of my daughter about her day is hard. My daughters speech has improved since attending. The staff are friendly and welcoming at pick up and drop off. I feel like Puddleducks is a safe environment for my daughter.

My son started in September and absolutely loving being at Puddleducks. He always runs in excited to see what activities have been planned and set up. He always has so much fun and the staff put so much thought into role play ideas. The outside area is brilliant with so much to do. His learning has also come on so much in just a few weeks as well x

My son started school in September, but attended Puddleducks prior to this. He absolutely loved it! The staff are fantastic ~ very caring, kind and hard working! A fabulous setting with a wide range of learning opportunities for all children! My daughter is currently on the waiting list, so very much looking forward to her starting here soon!

My little man attends Puddleducks ...
I can’t thank the staff enough especially “Nicky” they have been so so good.... and even though my little man struggled with being separated from me initially I felt great comfort that he was being well looked after... my son loves it, he’s happy and learning so much!
They are all lovely staff who genuinely care about the children and parents.

My daughter absolutely loves her time at Puddleducks, even asks at weekends if she s going to school! Since she has been there here speech/ learning has come on leaps and bounds, all the staff are friendly and approachable I literally could nt recommend this pre school enough, will be a sad day when she leaves to go to big school .
