Ever since 1998, Leapfrog Nursery School has been providing children with a rich and diverse learning environment. At Leapfrog we pride ourselves in providing children with the essential Early Years experiences which lay foundations for their future learning. Through carefully chosen activities we facilitate children's learning by concentrating on developing and extending children's interests.
We give children the opportunity to explore, be creative and curious, express themselves, observe, question and discuss, build relationships and have control over the direction of their learning. Leapfrog is committed to providing a nurturing, child focused, safe and challenging learning environment for all our children.

Services
We have a child-centered approach with key working and parents at the heart of everything we do. We provide a welcoming, nurturing and creative environment for children to become independent learners. We strive to prepare them for the next stage of learning. We advocate 'in the moment' planning, following children's interests, strengthening and broadening children's ideas through quality interactions and using natural resources.
At Leapfrog we carefully select a range of extra curricular activities to support and engage all children and help to include their parents in their learning. We hold many special events and activities at nursery which parents are invited to; including story cafes, themed days and FUDGE days. At the Story Cafe we provide exciting story based activities for parents to come and do with their children for the last half an hour of the session.
We are completely transparent with our fee structure, using an hourly rate to keep things simple. Government funding is available the term after your child is 3. The nursery claims the funding on your behalf. The funding amount at present is 5.18 per hour. We invoice parents for the remainder, which stands at 3.87 per hour for up to 30 hours per week, dependant on eligibility.
Throughout your child's early years journey at Leapfrog we have been building the foundations to prepare them for the next stage of education. We wanted to provide you with some activities to continue doing this with your little ones and support you in helping to prepare them for school.
These are only for fun and should be approached in a play based way, these may be things that your child is not ready to do just yet or they may be things your child is very confident with.As all children develop and progress at different stages through the EYFS curriculum, these shouldn't cause any anxiety, all of this learning continues through the first year of school.

Compton Road is the smallest of the three Leapfrog sites and is often described by parents as having a homely and nurturing feel. We are open for children from 12 months until they move onto school and offer opening hours from 8.30am - 3pm Monday - Friday. We love being outdoors and have recently developed our outdoor play area.
