Services
We offer a range of morning and afternoon consulting sessions from 9 AM until 5:30 PM every day. Extended Opening - these clinics operate on Mondays up to 6.30 PM and Tuesdays starting at 7.30 AM for those who are working and cannot attend the Doctor during normal hours. Please explain to the receptionist as fully as possible the nature of the problem - we aim to see any genuinely urgent case on the same day.
We welcome any person wishing to register who lives within the postcode of areas of G3 (G3- 8 area only), G11, G12, G13-1, and G14-9 and who is entitled to NHS treatment. Please download all three forms below, and if possible but not mandatory, one form of ID/Proof of address and bring these along to the Practice and hand them in to reception.
All regular prescriptions can be collected the next working day after 15:00. Please ensure that you order in plenty of time and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. For example requests made after 6pm, weekends or a public holiday, are actioned by the staff on the next working day, i.e ordered Saturday, next working day Monday.
A new phlebotomy service has been set up at the Community Centre for Health on 547 Dumbarton Road, G11 6HU. The service will be available Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (excluding Public Holidays). The number to call is: 0141 3551525 or 0141 2111400. Once we have requested the blood tests for you you can contact them to make an appointment.
Patients should seek advice from their employer. Students requesting Hepatitis B immunisation for occupational purposes are advised to contact the occupational Health Department at the University where provision for any immunisation will be made. A vaccination to protect against tetanus is given as part of the NHS childhood vaccination programme.

Drs are very helpful. However, reception is completely untrained, unethical and rude! I do not think they are able to handle medical information or make judgements, they have never passed a message correct to medical staff. Their site has no complaints information, which means this will go straight to the Health Board...

Doctors are great, especially Dr Davidson. The problem is the receptionists: RUDE, UNHELPFUL, VERY DISMISSIVE AND REPEATEDLY MAKING BOOKING MISTAKES. It is such a shame because the practise could be a very good one, if only the receptionists would behave humanely.

The doctors are great, they listen and aren’t dismissive at all.
The receptionists are not particularly great, I’ve been registered as the wrong name and booked in as a different patient with a different name, things like that, so when I’d get to the doctor he’d have read someone else’s medical history

As a new patient I have found all staff very helpful and accommodating around some complex issues with prescriptions during lockdown. Doctors have called back quickly when promised and been very competent.

Don't use this medical surgery if you value kindness and compassion. My only brother passed away from cancer and I when I called the next day to make an appointment I was treated with something bordering on disdain. The receptionists have a very brisk and almost irritated sounding telephone manner. I've also received inaccurate advice from one of the doctors regarding medicine I wanted to dispose of. I was informed to just 'hold onto the medication' even though I made it clear I had no intentions of taking it. Through my own research I learned that the proper protocol is to hand it into a pharmacy

Dangerous and needs review. Multiple errors since I have been registered with them. Referral letters lost for months at a time with no communication between the staff. Results misplaced etc . Some of the doctors they have are inexperienced and have had really uncomfortable unprofessional appointments. If I wasn't as proactive with calling and chasing then I assume I would not have received my own results or referrals.
The reception staff are really unhelpful and dismissive - I get its a hard job but there is no need for rudeness - I would suggest unless forced you explore a few other surgeries

The doctor I usually have seems to actually listen to you, which is a rarity, and seems very competent. However I echo the comments regarding the receptionists - one in particular. Airline ticket desk-style; spends 30 seconds faffing around before finally looking up at you in silence, without even bothering with a "how can I help?"

I'm a fairly recent new patient at this practice but so far, I can't fault them. I had several appointments with the nurse for a cut that was causing me some concern but she made me feel at ease and dispelled my concerns and sure enough, she got me all patched up like she promised.
I've been back since and got a different nurse and she was just as friendly and helpful, and the receptionists too are quite welcoming.
