The practice will be undergoing an IT upgrade. This is essential work that has been advised by the Health Board. As a result, our systems will be down for parts of the day and access to your medical records and prescriptions will be extremely limited. On these days we will be running an emergency surgery only.
Our online forms will be down so if you need to get in touch, please contact us by 'phone. Please order your medication in advance should they be due around these dates. Please do not phone for routine enquiries or test results. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we introduce these upgrades to our IT systems.

Absolutely shocking experience. I have been a patient of this practice for over 30years and can’t believe what they’ve become. To be asked to wait until the end of April for a telephone consultation is absolutely outrageous. The excuse is they are doing vaccinations! So is every other surgery.
I wanted to see a doctor as I’d had 2 courses of antibiotics for a cough and they hadn’t worked. I had to explain my symptoms to the receptionist more than once. She read them back to me two days in a row. I was asked to get a negative Covid test before I was allowed through the door which I got

Doctors (in particular Dr Irvine), never believed anything was ever wrong with me for 2 years, said that I was 'too young to have back pain'. As soon as I moved surgery I was referred to orthopaedics and diagnosed with a torn muscle tendonopathy. 2 years of suffering and minimal painkillers as 'nothing was wrong with me'...

The doctors in this surgery are great, but overall management is weak and in some aspects unacceptable. They have very good reputation in delaying repeat prescriptions, sending it to wrong pharmacy, ignoring patients requests and leaving phones unanswered. Moreover, the recent COVD crisis has provided good excuse for them to explain their mismanagement, while other healthcare and public sectors doing their job very well. I am very sorry for myself and all other patients registered in this surgery.

Dreadful experience.
Agree totally with the other post. Receptionist speaks down to you. Behaves like she is doing you a favour. Don't expect to get an appointment within 2 weeks. Using Covid as an excuse to avoid their duty of care to patients even though their phone message when calling makes it clear that covid enquiries should be directed to NHS.
If you get past the receptionist they might do you the favour of letting you speak to a nurse.
Not sure why, if all covid enquiries are going to NHS and the staff are deflecting most patients, my daughter had to go to A&E after waiting 10 weeks
