Similarly if you have just returned from an area where the virus is more prevalent, please call the clinic for advice before attending an appointment. In order to help ensure patient safety, the clinic has introduced some social distancing measures. So, for the time being, would patients please come to the back entrance of the building.

Patients are asked to wait in their vehicle and I will collect them once the previous patient has left the building and the treatment area has been cleaned. Services
Osteopathic treatment aims to restore balance to the body through the release of tensions and restrictions in body tissues- kickstarting the body's self-healing mechanism.

It is a form of manual therapy developed over the last hundred and thirty years, based on the principle that the structure of the body governs its function and, therefore, if the bones, muscles, ligaments and internal organs are out of alignment, the body cannot function at an optimum level and so cannot be fully healthy. All osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners.
The first consultation usually lasts between 45 minutes to an hour. Before any treatment is given, a thorough case-history is taken where the practitioner will ask you questions about your past medical history and general health as well the particular problem, to obtain as full a picture as possible of the cause of your symptoms.
The forces exerted on the body during many types of sporting activity may easily cause damage to joints and the structures surrounding joints (the ligaments and muscles). This type of injury may happen at any time but often occurs when the muscles are over contracted. Osteopathic treatment can help at all stages of the recovery process.
Many work related problems are caused by over-strain of muscles and ligaments due to repetitive movements and poor posture. Occupations requiring heavy lifting place particular strain on the lower back, although shoulders, elbows and knees often succumb to such problems. Office workers and those working at a computer for long periods are also at risk of repetitive strain injuries of joints such as the shoulder and wrist.

We as a family had been visiting a chiropractor for thirty years plus, however with a persistent shoulder issue I decided to pursue other avenues of treatment and I contacted Chris. Chris went above and beyond what I had expected and Chris has in depth knowledge second to none. Needless to say my shoulder issue made a full recovery, the fact that I chose/choose to see Chris three to four times annually now instead of someone we had been visiting for more than three decades says it all.

I came to Chris after years of really bad back problems. I had been to a few different osteopaths and chiropractors. Most of which helped but the problem persisted, and was gradually getting worse. When I had my first appointment with Chris, he found a problem that everyone else had missed. He gave me the treatment I needed and the knowledge to keep improving. Chris is very friendly, very professional and extremely knowledgeable. His service is second to none, and I would recommend him to absolutely anyone. Nick
