Cheddington Pre School
Cheddington Pre-school is in the grounds of Cheddington Combined School and located via the schools back entrance on Lammas Road. We have a lovely purpose built unit and a well-equipped outdoor learning area with a garden area and vegetable patch where the children grow items which we can eat at snack time.

We are very lucky to have use of the school's facilities, which we use to enhance our learning. We offer a great variety of activities each week including PE, Library time, Woodland area and the field where we can run safely. Can you help us with fundraising or events? We are always keen to speak to parents about how they can help us and your children at Pre-School.
Services
Cheddington Pre-School is a lively, happy pre-school situated within the grounds of the Cheddington Combined School in Cheddington, Buckinghamshire. Our highly qualified staff plan varied activities based upon "The Early Years Foundation Stage". We focus on learning through play and carefully monitor each child's individual needs through our "key-person" system.
Children benefit from the opportunity to eat in a social situation, encouraging them to expand their food choices through watching their peers enjoying a variety of different food groups. We provide a morning and afternoon snack which offers the children a choice of fruit/vegetables and carbohydrate.
Your child qualifies for Early Years Funding the term after their third birthday. You can claim to up to 15 hours of early year's childcare and education per week over a 38 week year. In order that we may claim funding on your behalf from the Local Authority you are required to complete and return a Free Early Education Entitlement Contract, once this is signed your child must attend sessions claimed for.
Within a nurturing environment, children are supported in developing confidence, independence and self-respect. They are encouraged to work and concentrate individually and also take part in the life of the group, sharing and co-operating with other children and adults. The children are given lots of opportunity for "role play", which helps to build self-confidence.
Staff provide interesting and stimulating activities for children. Children easily access a wide variety of resources which supports different areas of learning. They become motivated and independent learners. All children make good progress from their different starting points. Partnerships with parents and other professionals are highly effective.
