We have been based in our fantastic purpose-built Pre-School building on the Brookmead School site in Ivinghoe since 2011. Prior to that we were a "pack away" Pre-School which was set up in 1960! Our focus is to ensure that each child has a memorable, fun learning journey through general play, arts, crafts, organised activities all whilst making friends.

Our daily activities encourage children's creativity, curiosity and co-ordination within the Early Years curriculum. Sessions run Monday to Friday, 9am-12pm, 12-3pm or 9-3 with the option of adding lunch club (12-1pm) to a morning session (if spaces allow.) The Windmill Team Report

The teaching team: Day to day, Pre-School is run by a team of dedicated and qualified staff who are passionate and enthusiastic about our village Pre-School. Not only do the team regularly attend courses to keep their knowledge up to date, many are studying for further qualifications which make their teaching skills even stronger.

A day in the life of Pre-School Report

Watching our children grow in confidence, gain new experiences and flourish on an individual level is incredibly rewarding. Arrival: On arrival Parents/Carers are asked to say good bye to their childf at the main door. Once children have put their lunch box on the trolley, they then wash their hands in the bathroom.

Parents are the most important teachers. This area of the website is specifically for parents with children attending Windmill Pre-School. Parent Helper: Windmill Pre-School welcomes parents to get involved in the Pre-School at all levels. Voluntary Management Committee: Being a registered charity, we legally need to have a Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and a minimum of 6 other members to operate.
