R. Ingram Coins are a partnership of Michael and Rendel Ingram, our interest in coins began in 1997. We are based in Southampton on the south coast of England, which is part of the UK. We are a primarily a postal business, but are happy to see people, and do so on a daily basis. We see people on weekday between 10am & 4pm; by appointment only please.
Our first catalogue was issued in 1997 and was a very modest affair; since then we have developed and grown. We made it to catalogue 100 in 2013. This catalogue had 32 pages, packed with around 6,000 coins. In 2015 we increased to a 40 page magazine, by mid 2018 the cataogue was a 68 page issue, listing over 12,000 coins.

Our old coins for sale are mainly old English coins, though we do stock a vast range of Scottish, Irish and world coins as well.

I explained that I had a large number of 1920 to 1946 50% silver content coins as well as lots of post 1946 none silver British coins I said I didn't think it was of any great quality but felt it was a shame to scap it all.
They said they would pay more than scrap value so I arranged to drive down from the Midlands.
In the end they only offered £500 whereas I said I could get about £950 scrap in the Jewellery Quarter.
We did a small deal on some pre 1920 for £60 and so I left with rest of my coins.
I sold them today at the Jewellery Quarter for £1038!😊 I am so pleased I didn't accept
