Services
All of the vehicles in our extensive fleet are well maintained and have two local council MOT tests annually in addition to the standard MOT test; they also have regular visual inspections with Thanet District Council licensing officers. The cars are all modern and kept clean with regular checks made not only by the council but also by the company management.

At Thanet Cars and the Cab Call Centre we have always led the field when it comes to the technology used. Long gone are the days of radio taxis, we first went onto a computerised data system in 1994 and since then have updated regularly until in 2004 we teamed up with Cab Despatch Ltd. Arranged a taxi 90 mins notice. They said they would send a text with pickup details. They did not. So I called. Was told a black vw. One turned up and picked up someone else. So I took the bus. They need to be a bit more specific and informative. Text with more info did come after I complained. Nice people though.

Use Central cars instead. Would give this firm zero stars if that was an option. Pre booked a cab an hour in an advance, and still they managed to be late and make me miss my last trains, resulting in me having to spend out on a hotel. The next day when I spoke to someone there, he was so RUDE. He genuinely didn’t care. No apology. Worst cab company ever. Rudest people. And I’ve used this firm before and always thought they were miserable, rude and pretty rubbish. But this takes it to a whole other level. Don’t use this firm.

I've had the pleasure of using this taxi firm on two occasions.
I called on the off chance today, having to collect car from garage, unable to pre book due to works being carried out.
They told me that a taxi was in the Minster area,& it arrived within minutes!
A more local taxi firm had it's answerphone set, stating there was an hour wait & advised booking on their website!
Nice to have a friendly voice on the end of the phone, & such a prompt & friendly service!

Do not use, unreliable- use Central Cars instead. We booked a cab to Margate station in plenty of time for the train and they didn't turn up, rang them and they couldn't offer us a cab in the next 15 minutes or couldn't even say when they could pick up. We missed the train and it cost us £70 to buy a new ticket. Lesson learnt, don't use Thanet cars

My husband called this taxi firm up to book a taxi and was told a taxi would come out within 10 minutes. It never showed up! My husband called back a few more times to find out what was going on but the operator didn’t answer the phone calls. This caused us to miss a very important appointment. Poor service

POOR, AWFUL. DO NOT USE! Really poor service. Go elsewhere. They left me stranded and wouldn't even take my calls. Kept saying was on its way but after 50mins I was rescued by another company who came within 5 mins. The only reason I have given one star is because I couldn't leave this review if I didn't.

Having used this firm for over a year I can speak with some authority about how bad the service is and how rude and antagonistic the majority of the control staff are. I use them every fortnight to pick up my kids from school and drop them off on the Monday, I book a car to pick me up from the station and on numerous occasions it has been taken by someone else leaving me stranded and late. They also never get a car that has been booked in advance anywhere close to the time one booked it for. This in itself is annoying but when I call to say that my car has yet to be dispatched ten minutes after
