A lovely place to dine out. Smart casual, attentive service, quality food and actually not much more expensive than the gastro pubs around Staffordshire. A Sunday lunch or afternoon tea here is really good but the "Dinner at 8" experience is super and really very indulgent

Had a meal at Pecks for our works Christmas do.
The menu was varied and innovative. I confess, I chose the duck liver parfait and gingerbread starter (allergies precluded the other two options available on the set menu meal) and I was dubious... but wow. It was *delicious*.
The roast beef disintegrated, it was so tender. It has been many years since I have had beef this good.
And the rum and raisin tart (I have since found out that you can buy a whole one, so that's my New Years Resolution dead in the water!!!) was absolutely perfect.
I will definitely return...

Lovely dinner at 8 tonight - I'm dairy free and was wonderfully catered for with choices and alternatives offered where needed - it was definitely the best selection of dairy free desserts I've ever been offered! Every course was lovely - a real treat 😍.

Went to Pecks Restaurant for dinner at 8 for my husbands birthday. The food was out of this world hats off to the chefs and the staff can’t do enough for you we really want to thank the Manager Ben for looking after us all night and also surprising my husband with a sparkler in his cake and the whole staff and restaurant sang to him. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a special meal for any occasion.

The restaurant was cosy and beautifully decorated. The service was first class. We went for the three course lunch expecting smaller portions of food, wrong! Each course was excellent and plentiful, we had to ask for a break before the dessert. I can highly recommend Pecks.

I have to say, looking at other peoples afternoon teas, looks like we picked the wrong one. The concept of the gentleman's afternoon tea was interesting, but falls short. While the scones, beef sandwiches and fish chip butty were nice.
The cottage pie, was surprisingly devoid of taste and cold. Considering cottage pie is one of the easiest meals to make and reserve, this was poor. Beyond underseasoned. Now it being cold, does sometimes happen when they're busy. In their defence, they did provide a replacement that was warm. But still, entirely tasteless. Like they didn't use any stock.

Went here for the evening menu.
Every course was nice, especially the beef bouginyon which was delicious, though I'd have preferred more sauce.
Seeing what food options before choosing is good and adds a unique experience, but the waiting staff although lovely, came across as a bit impersonal and too scripted.
There were so many cakes to choose from I forgot the first few. A menu for cakes would have been handy.
Prices high(but reasonable for this kind of restaurant)
No music
Wheelchair friendly
Not dog friendly
Had no problems with parking
Smart/ smart casual wear

SUPERB . . Went for dinner for £25 and it was absolutely fantastic . We've been for dinner at 8 and loved that so thought we'd try the 3 course dinner . Good selection of courses , friendly staff everything flowed very nicely , my pigeon and spicy cauliflower starter was especially nice .
Highly recommend trying Pecks it truly is worth it . I thought the dinner at 8 sounded a bit expensive but it was worth every penny they show you every dish before you order , every course is amazing it makes a lovely evening

I had afternoon tea here with a few friends and it was lovely.
Parking was a nightmare but the staff offered to move their cars for us. There was a lot of food but more sweet than savory items. There could have been more sandwiches to balance it better. I also had to ask for top ups of tea and coffee, the staff were friendly but not very attentive after we had been given the food.
