Services
Our staff comprise: Registered Manager, Karen Williams; Deputy Manager, Diane Jones; Administrator, Kate Evans; Housekeeper, Dawn Edwards and a dedicated team of well-trained Care and Domestic Assistants. Our approach is to maintain at all times our atmosphere of warmth, friendliness and consideration.
We appreciate that, for many, the prospect of spending time in care may be a daunting one. We regard it as our duty to minimise any such doubts and fears by providing sensitive and unobtrusive hospitality from the outset, whether your intention is to stay for a weekend or a longer period. Woodland works to ensure that each individual is enabled to maintain their chosen lifestyle.
Room service is available 24 hours a day, staff are on hand to offer assistance and support when residents need it most. A call alarm system in every room ensures staff know when they are needed. All maintenance is included in the fee, if something breaks or you need a new light bulb there is no need to worry, emergency and general maintenance is taken care of promptly by professionals.
All meals are freshly prepared by our experienced cooks. We use the best cuts of meat, chosen and supplied by our local butcher. The greengrocer delivers fruit and vegetables three times a week to make sure of their absolute freshness. Our emphasis is on home cooking and you can always rely on there being a delicious, newly-made cake or fresh scones on offer.
Our fully ground-floor, single-room accommodation gives access to your own private space at all times. Couples are welcome; the rooms are sufficiently spacious to accommodate a double bed or twin beds should a couple wish to use one room as a private sitting room. All rooms are fully furnished, but residents are invited to furnish their own rooms to their own taste and comfort should they so wish.

My mum is a resident, who is very happy and extremely well looked after and kept entertained with various activities by the wonderful professional staff. MMum was a resident in Woodland Care Home for nearly 2 years from March 2018 until December 2019. She was very happy and so well cared for by lovely staff. Her end of life care was given with love and the staff couldn't have been more supportive and caring to Mum and the family. I would thoroughly recommend Woodland to anyone. Mum had dementia but the staff were so patient, activities well thought out and the gardens, which Mum loved, beautifully kept. Heartfelt Thanks to all the staff.
