One of the only locals left in Crouch End, The Railway Tavern is a beautiful 1930's mock Tudor pub that has had many of its original features lovingly restored by it's owner, who is passionate about reinstating old boozers to their former glory. We aim to deliver excellent food and drink in a warm and welcoming atmosphere and be the best place to meet friends and enjoy yourself in Crouch End.

Sundays are our favourite day at the Railway Tavern. Relax in front of our beautiful fire, read a Sunday paper or enjoy the company of your friends over a good meal and a bottle of wine. We serve delicious Sunday roasts all day from 12pm, choose from roast topside of beef, lemon and thyme chicken, loin of pork or mushroom and vegetable roast.
Services
Why not get over that mid-week slump by unwinding with one of our many board games? Have a laugh with friends over a drink and sink battleships, prove your worth with words or be a part of our indoor skittles competition: we have plenty to play! Every Thursday we host a very special Irish Music night.
The Railway Tavern is available for private hire on selected dates. We can cater for up to 75 guests sitting for dining and 150 guests for buffets and canapes. Our chefs can tailor our dishes to suit your needs and are extremely flexible with special requests. We can help you co-ordinate your party and help make it a memorable experience for you and your guests.

For vegetarian food. Donโ€™t! Ordered mushroom burger - small hard dry bun, three small mushrooms, tiny bit of spinach and cheese, good chips. Ok service when complained. Ordered a falafel salad. Dry no dressing. Not even trying to make good food. Shame - nice looking pub and good pint of Guinness. But the food. No

Great service. Guy bartender was very lovely and helpful, always smiling! Roast could have been a bit better seasoned, but it was good and reasonably priced.

Favourite pub in crouch end. Proper pub feel, friendly staff and decent prices. But lacks decent customers, very overly liberal clientele who become argumentative if they somehow seem to overhear your chat and verbally try to challenge your view. oddly and sadly, I was blamed for rising to someones stupidity. I would look elsewhere for a swift half, and the roast for 15 quid and was tiny.

Warm, friendly pub with a great range of ales and a very knowledgeable staff. Warning - it's all about the ales and doesn't serve Guiness ๐Ÿ˜’ The decor is amazing, the staff are brilliant and it had fun quiz nights and is dog friendly!
The food is decent... not brilliant. My burger was SO overdone it was just sad. Lovely beer garden though. Worth a stop in.

Nice pub with friendly staff, not far from The Broadway and Clock Tower. The buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce and whitebait was great. Burger was very sizable however the chef may have forgotten to season the patty which was a little disappointing. The chips were great, I wasn't able to finish them so doggy bagged them and were still awesome when reheated ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
Will definitely revisit to check out the beer garden

Lovely little quirky pub, full of random pictures and memorabilia.
Stopped here for a roast dinner on a Sunday as Iโ€™m on a mission to find the best Sunday roast in London (check out my reviews for some of the best). I had the roast pork and my friend had the roast half chicken. Both were nice, the roast potatoes were delicious, perfectly crunchy outside and fluffy on the inside. The pork itself was ok, I much prefer a chunk of pork loin with the crackling on the top, but this was sliced pork and a little over cooked, not too much flavour unfortunately.
The sticky toffee pudding was ok too.

Good food, but a bit loud. Have to order your food at the bar, but they deliver it to the table. I would eat there again.
