Available to all patients regardless of their level of care, our Retinal Photography equipment allows us to take high quality images of your retina. With Retinal Photography we can more easily identify the overall health of an eye and we can also use the imagery to diagnose problems which may arise further down the line as you age.
Our extensive experience in eye care over the years has allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the many underlying problems which can arise for a variety of patients based off their medical history, hereditary or otherwise. For those with a family history of glaucoma we recommend the standard practice of annual glaucoma screenings to ensure this potential vision-losing condition is caught early on and treated accordingly.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scanning is a state of the art process in which we use advanced techniques to scan and image the internal structure of a patient's eye. Unlike retinal photography, OCT goes beyond the retina and looks at the layers behind it to more accurately identify potential health risks.
Cruickshank Opticians can treat a variety of eye problems at our Eaglesham practice including Conjunctivitis, Eye infections and General eye pain. Cruickshank Opticians are able to clinically assess a patient, establish a diagnosis, determine the clinical management required and prescribe a course of treatment where necessary.
