Stayed over in the car park in our campervan last night. Had a meal and it was delicious. Hubby had the big burger and what a feast it was and so delicious. I had the lobster and langoustine burger which was beautiful and something just that little bit different. The atmosphere was lovely and it's such a quirky little place. The staff were delightful and so friendly. Would highly recommend 😋👍

Hadn't been for a while, but called in last Fri (18/06/21) for lunch. Relatively small indoor seating area, but it was a nice day, so asked if there was table service outside? Pleasantly surprised with the large area of covered outdoor space, with additional table seating in a large well maintained garden.
Not too busy, so plenty of space to socially distance. Large variety of options on the lunch menu. Service was quick, staff were very friendly and the food was oh so yummy, especially the sweet menu.

The saltwater brig, been here twice. Good distance from Belfast but a nice scenic drive away. Rustic traditional interior with a lovely warm open fire in the front part of the restaurant. There are two parts to the saltwater brig the front bit which I very traditional looking and old fashioned , big open fire, really cosy the front bit, then you've got the restaurant bit at the back which is traditional pub/country restaurant decor quite cosy too lots of ornaments, wall plaques etc. There is a big beer garden out the back , good few seats and quite a large area. Food now we got the roast of

A few years back we got to to here as the Belfast telegraph had a promotion on and even though its a fair distance from Belfast we thought we'd take a gamble on it, definitely worth the drive as the food and atmosphere were above expectations with being in the winter and the open fire lit, really nice and cosy. The tables by the entrance are the best but don't be fooled by the small appearance its like Dr who's tardis as the space through the next set of doors there's a massive room for dining or dancing. You have to park in a car park on the opposite side of the road which

Found Saltwater Brig by pure chance on a filthy dark winter night while on holiday from Scotland. But what a welcome inside! The staff were so friendly and helpful with my disabled Wife. As for the food, we have eaten in a lot of places in a number of countries but this was as good as anything we have come acrooss. And the finishing touch was dining beside the huge log fire on a freezing winter night. It was so good that we went back another couple of times during our week's stay.
We are going ti Ireland again shortly on holiday and Saltwater Brig will be our number one priority for another
