Set in over four acres of idyllic countryside, Rock Cottage Day Nursery is a purpose-built facility, providing exceptional standards of nursery-level childcare from 3 months to 5 years, where emotional, educational and physical development goes hand in hand. We have been registered with Staffordshire Ofsted ever since and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

Having passed the baby phase, elements of independence are introduced at this stage. A wider range of play equipment and creative opportunities are on hand to further stimulate this age group. Emotional and expressive development is supported as children are beginning to gain an understanding of the world around them.
Sensory play is an important part of play within the Baby Blossom room. With a growing range of sensory equipment and activities, babies are beginning to engage their five senses in a highly innovative way. Playing with jelly, bubbles, treasure baskets, water and sand seems to be the favourite kind of sensory play with our babies.

During this phase, emphasis is placed upon a specific type of independence; this is potty training - a crucial process in child development. Bigger and more sophisticated play equipment is also employed to stimulate growing abilities. Daily morning registration encourages all children to recognise their name, their key group.
Little Oaks is for children who have just had their 3rd birthday. This room encourages children to work together, developing friendships and offering a steady adjustment to the larger Pre-school room. The introduction of pencil control, computer play and adult led activities promote further learning, based around free choice and creative abilities.
