The name of the pretty seaside town stems from the Old English for Haven, and that's exactly what you'll find here. Our hotel has undergone constant development and improvement over the years and the experience today is like nothing else in Kent. The facilities are bound to delight, and our staff pride themselves on making all guests feel completely at home.
What's more, the hotel is right in the town, with all the sights in easy walking distance and the beach a stone's throw away. The Hythe Imperial has stood at the heart of the beautiful seaside town for hundreds of years. Replete with Victorian splendour, it offers guests the chance to bask in the coastal air and panoramic sea views while enjoying friendly and attentive service from our enthusiastic team.

Services
Hythe means 'haven' in old English, and that's what we've tried to provide over the years to both travelling guests and the local community. Various refurbishments, facelifts and additions have not distorted our true purpose of making sure people who stay with us get the very best out of this beautiful coastal town.
A very BIG 'thank you' for making our recent stay so good ('good' not doing justice). To say you went the extra mile to make our stay so welcoming (and making us feel like vips) is a massive understatement. All the staff we met (from the initial booking last November to checkout) could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful.
With 92 bedrooms and no two being the same, all rooms at the Hythe Imperial are as individual as the guests who come to stay. They range from intimate and cosy, to spacious and decadent; sea view or garden view; even cottage-style suites and family rooms with bunk beds.
The Hythe Imperial has been created out of history & charm, therefore please note the images are reflective of the room type but the decoration and exact configuration may change as all guest rooms are individual and unique. We also have a number of bedrooms which can accommodate a cot (please note that the hotel does not provide cots and this will need to be provided by the guest) or roll-away bed if required.

Located less than 70 miles from central London, which with the high-speed rail link means a journey time of around 50 minutes, and just 10 minutes from Folkestone Eurotunnel Station, Hythe Imperial Hotel is a perfectly positioned stop-over for your business travel.
Whether travelling to the South Coast or further afield, enjoy a relaxing stay with us in one of our characterful en-suite hotel bedrooms to ensure you're ready for business the next day.Plus with a unique on-site links golf course and extensive spa and leisure facilities there'll be plenty to keep you entertained.

Would be a 5* as an impressive lovely old fashioned hotel. Stayed for coffee and sandwiches. The BLT looked amazing...whilst I opted for the chicken & avocado. Sadly the chicken was processed and about 3 micro dots of avocado. Not much mayo so a tad dry. And very underwhelming. Shame, as i would've given a 5. Maybe rethink the sandwich options.

Very strange place , really nice frontage and reception area , rooms , and lots of nice touches all around but they seriously need a stylist or some kind of sense . they have two bars , the smaller one is perfect but the larger one is far too bright and has a weird layout. Little alcoves which are lit by should be dark to make them a nice snug to sit in . Strangely being Christmas season they shut the bar at midnight even though there was plenty of money to be made catering for the Christmas party crowds but nope . Shutters down .its seems very strange saying no to money in this current climate

Loved this hotel... Quiet majestic beauty. Rooms are modern, well designed and the minimal aesthetic is pleasing. Mattress is comfortable the sea view is amazing but the garden on the back is also beautiful... One of the better deals we had in the English coast we were so happy we stayed an extra night. This was our first stay at Imperial Hotel and it will definitely Not be our last . We found the complete experience to be exceptional. Rooms were very well presented. We ate in the Fine Dining Restaurant and the Martello bar Restaurant. The meals were well presented and very enjoyable and not overly expensive, but by far the best experience whilst staying at the hotel were provided by both Laura and Maddy (Madeline) at the reception desk. They are to be commended for their professionalism and care they provided to ensure we had a very pleasant stay. They were cheerful and polite and along with
