Lime Wood Hotel
Set in the heart of the stunning New Forest National Park, we like to think Lime Wood is laid-back luxury at its best - the perfect secluded hideaway escape! 1.5 miles from the small town of Lyndhurst and just an hour and a half drive from London! Lime Wood was five exciting years in the making and the results are a rich collaboration of creative talent at its best.

The architectural parts were designed by Charles Morris and Ben Pentreath, interiors have been added by David Collins and more recently Martin Brudnizki, Rob Angell and Susie Atkinson. Chefs Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder do the cooking, pulling together both of their much admired signature styles, to create Hartnett Holder & Co, our relaxed Italian restaurant.
Services
Tuck up in the Eaves of the main house, with beautiful views looking out over the grounds and forest. Perfectly formed, light and airy rooms with views of the grounds and forest, and large fitted baths. Larger than our Cosy rooms, each Spacious room is unique in its design, with great views of the forest and large bright bathrooms.
Next to Hartnett Holder & Co there's the working kitchen which we've designed to fit in with our open house approach. Raw and Cured is our food bar in the Herb House Spa which offers delicious, natural and healthy food. Drop in anytime for a cup of tea and a big slice of gooey cake, or join us for Full Afternoon Tea from 2pm-4pm every day of the week!
Join us as we forage for facts about the heathland, forest trails and native ponies in the place we call home - the enchanting New Forest. A super simple and seasonal dish, bursting with flavour with fresh peas, zingy lemon, toasted pine nuts and rich parmesan - perfect as a light pasta supper or served as a side.

Some experience, the rib of beef steak was for two sharing. I think they meant two trenchermen sharing! Absolutely delicious but lots of I.

One of my favourite places to eat, although it seems to be getting more pricey each time. The food is certainly well above average but the value is a little bit of a downward slope. To be honest the last time I went the service was not great but this time was a wholly better experience

Expensive but worth it!
We had lunch in the bar which was excellent.
Service excellent and staff lovely.
We had a look at the SPA and gym as we are interested in joining.
We have been members of Wentworth and other luxury gyms and SPA, but Limewood is superb and luxurious above them.

We were lucky enough to be invited by friends to have dinner with them. What a lovely evening we had! Exquisite food beautifully presented and served with style. Special mention to Katie, our waitress this evening, who was endlessly charming and patient as we took ages to choose each course! Thank you for making it so easy to have a great evening out.

This place is country manor splendour. Everything was great. Got upgraded from a regular room to one of their Pavilion suite, (honeymoon suite which was basically a HOUSE) freestanding bathtub in room created that added touch of luxury. Birthday cupcakes and fresh strawberries 🍓 to welcome us in the room.
Restaurant: Hartnett and Holder, some lovely food options ranging from mid - pricey. We had a sharing steak which was nice overall though a bit fatty. Starters and desserts were tasty. Wine was so good.
Cocktails: Good, though slightly underwhelmed by the espresso martini.
Overall vibes

He hotel itself is exquisite and in a fantastic location. The interior is equally impressive as is the courtyard bar and restaurant.
Unfortunately the menu and food does not match the hotel.
We started with a cocktail which was not prepared or mixed properly.
The menu is quite limited with an Italian theme and obviously expensive.
The pasta was very tasty but too much salt. The belly of pork was tender but the crackling soft and tough.
The wine was expensive and the waiter actually took it away to open!! We have had better at an up market pub resturant at a third of the price (£26)

We've had lunch a couple of times at the Raw and Cured Spa Restaurant and absolutely loved it. The food was fresh, simple, and really tasty. Loved it and will definitely go again.
They also have a kids menu with more child friendly things like burger and chips.

While the food is outstanding the service was beyond terrible. Chef would get 5 stars, staff would get zero.

Arrived for our 6 pm dinner reservation at 5:50, we were asked if we'd like to have a drink at the bar. We accepted the offer and after 5 mins, ordered our drinks. 20 mins later, we hadn't received our drinks. Then 3 of the 4 drinks ordered arrived. We asked where the 4th drink (wine) was and told it would arrive shortly. Another 5 mins passed, asked again, said they'd chase it. Another 5 mins passed (30 mins now!) and we ask again, then told that the wine we ordered (which

Limewood offers a beautiful escape if you are anywhere in the Southwest of England. My favourite thing that limewood offers is its beautiful internal decor and external grounds. Once you walk in you will be impressed with their gorgeous fresh floral arrangements, the roaring fires, the detailed wallpaper, the plush furniture and the well curated artwork. I've never been lucky enough to spend the night but I can comment on their food in the restaurant.

This past week I had their Easter set menu. I started off with their goat cheese plate. It was a beautiful soft cheese with fresh capers and

Very noisy place. Full of children and babies. Rooms not very impressive.
Spa leaves a lot to be desired.
Best thing about this place is the location, you can have some lovely walks in the New Forest. The Hartnett restaurant is also quite good.
However this place is way overpriced. Far too expensive for what it offers. Especially if you compare it to other hotel spas that are of a MUCH higher standard and still not as expensive.
All in all, we had a very disappointing stay here. Can safely say we will never visit this place again.

As you drive South of London you pass through the highly-protected New Forest. This is where Alice and Wonderland meets Lord of the Rings and ponies and cattle wander at will. It is in this magical place that you find Limewood. Staying in an ancient English forest channels all your inner Robinhood. It's a rich collaboration of creative talent at its best. There's even an herb house spa, garden and food bar aptly named Raw and Cured, which offers delicious, natural and healthy food, including freshly made salads, cured fish and meat from Lime Wood's own Smoke House. Get into the wild

I went here for a business event, we had a room hired out downstairs that doubles up as a snooker room. We were there for a few hours and had a fantastic lunch. The dinner was amazing and the wine complimented it perfectly.

The staff were great, really happy, friendly and chatty. We had a tour of the spa afterwards and that place is heavenly! They have a membership available, which is £150 per month or £100 if you join under a corporate. They have a state-of-the-art gym, pool and a wide range of spa options.

If you get the opportunity to eat or visit here, do. It's got a hefty price

Lime Wood is a beautiful, boutique hotel, nestled against the New Forest. The rooms are spacious, and you can book an entire two story cottage if you like. Many of the rooms have their own terraces. And from several you can walk right out your door and into the forest.

The staff are plentiful, and they go out of their way to do almost anything you need, and in a timely fashion.

Everyone working here takes a very personal interest in the happiness of the guests. From the chef Alex, who will tell you about where the eggs come from (in addition to making them perfectly), to Max the barman
