Nice place and friendly staff, the room was lovely and had everything you would need itβs a little loud in the night as itβs next to a couple of other pubs but not too bad.
Only downside was the breakfast, everything was overcooked and wasnβt very nice at all, so Iβd skip the breakfast option and go elsewhere.

Really lovely pub with a few boutique rooms upstairs. We stayed and had breakfast in the morning too. Their chef had a family emergency so a member of waiting staff had to step in and cook all the guests breakfasts. They did a fantastic job and it didn't affect our stay at all. The room was well equipped and was decorated nicely, however it was incredibly hot for a stay in autumn and we had to keep the fan on all night to try and cool it a little further. If I'm back in the area again I'd quite likely book it again and will absolutely recommend to others too.

Excellent food cooked superbly and the service was just great... no snobbery just levelled with everyone π

Comfy rooms, very clean and we somehow managed to get a very very good price!!! Stayed here twice and the tall gentleman (sorry we forgot to get your name hahha!) who checked us in on the night shift on Sunday was extremely welcoming and helpful, as was the lovely lady who served our breakfast the next morning ππ theyβre both great assets to the pub and made our stay lovely. Our breakfast was fab and prompt and I will recommend this place highly to everyone and will be back soon for the third time!!!! Thank you very much all πππππππ

Itβs perfectly placed first of all. We stayed for 5 days and used the car once. There is no parking but a public one very close by will cost Β£8 per day. Docks, city centre, museums, red jet and all manner of eateries easy walking distance. Itβs a party street so be ready for happy sounds coming up from the street.
Our room was ok at the price and we are told a refurb is imminent. The historic feel of the place is really nice, you are walking in the footsteps of titanic passengers who stayed there before sailing.
The real joy of the white star is the staff, Bridget and her team are all awesome

We stayed for two nights and would rate the stay as great, nice room and a good selection of food and drinks. The location is perfect! The staff were very nice with a special mention for Prince, he was really friendly and his hosting skills are fantastic! He also gave us some useful tips on some nice areas around Southampton. I would 100% recommend The White Star Tavern.
