I cannot recommend Shamrock Cottages enough for customer service when it comes to booking a property. Having had an issue with a third party provider, Shamrock Cottages were on hand to provide immediate support, worked to reassure me the property would be secured for my holiday and extremely clear in all their communications - which were frequent. Tracey, my POC, made the entire experience seemless and I look forward to booking again with Shamrock Cottages again.

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
I booked a holiday in March and was advised if I needed to cancel the booking before 31 July I would only receive a £5 cancellation fee. the same as last year when I had to cancel due to restrictions.
When it came to the point I had to cancel, I was told this is not the case and all terms and conditions were online. I had not received any contact advising of the changes, no email nothing.
The Manager Matthew Boyd was extremely rude, uncompassionate and lacked empathy.
WILL NOT BE BOOKING WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!
Wish I could get in touch with the house owner directly

Lovely staff, very helpful, and very happy to recommend. I've used Shamrock dozens of times over the last twenty years and always been very satisfied with their efficient and friendly staff, their prices and their flexibility when things need changing. I've also dealt with other cottage companies who were a completely different story, so I know to appreciate a good company when I deal with them. They're professional, they always answer the phone and they're genuinely helpful. Thanks guys!

Thieves! Email you one thing to do another. Supposed to automatically take the remaining fee didn't and now lost booking and deposit. And thats our fault. Had various correspondence with them saying they would hold off taking fee due to current pandemic and let us know when it was due. Haha. Stealing a living from hard working folk

My family and I have been booking houses with Shamrock Cottages since they started trading many years ago. My parents used them first and we have continued with them. We have always had excellent service, cottage and ferry prices with lots of different cottages in different areas in Ireland. I'm sorry and surprised to see a few people have had issues and also sorry to see so few reviews so wanted to give our experience of many years of great holiday cottage booking with this company.

Beware the heating costs! 133 Euros for a week!
We booked the Leenane cottage 249, and were shocked to find that the charge for heating was 133 euros at the end of the week.
The owner himself said that this did seem very high, despite the usually-high fuel costs in Ireland anyway, but I paid him in good faith that Shamrock Cottages - as the company I hired the cottage from - would reimburse me somehow as, obviously, there was some kind of problem with the meter. When I got in touch with Shamrock, however, I was told by 'Tracey' that it wasn't her problem and I would have to speak to the owner

This "travel agent" with its "efficient booking system"(at least, that's how they call it on their own website) is NOT TRUSTWORTHY at all!
They made us 100% accountable for THEIR mistake. After confirming the right dates to us, we paid the deposit, which led to another confirmation of the right dates by email. However, in their attachment, another date appeared, which we didn't notice until late. According to them, we should have checked and rechecked and we are 100% responsible for their mistake.
This made us lose 800 €! A fortune for hard working people looking forward to their holidays for

We stayed at 143 Gleesk from 17th. Sept-23rd. Sept 2016.
This is a beautifully appointed property, with lovely sea views. It is well equipped with every modern convenience. All 3 bedrooms are en suite with
decent size showers and the house is kept in immaculate condition. We would definitely recommend a stay here. For anyone wanting entertainment, there is satellite tv, dvd and vidio players.
