Saint Peter's Catholic Primary School A Voluntary Academy
Here at St Peter's Catholic Primary School we ensure that the Gospel of Jesus Christ inspires and guides the lives of our pupils. We believe our school reproduces the warm atmosphere of family life, where children, staff, parents, governors and parish priests promote a common spirit of trust, mutual respect and friendship.

Within our community our school is the heart, preparing young people to add to its rich tapestry of faith and to be independent, curious and life-long learners. I am very proud to be Head Teacher at St Peter's where we have an extremely hard working staff team, who teach, guide and nurture our pupils.
Services
St. Peter's is a primary school in the heart of Hinckley, Leicestershire. We have a single class in each year group, welcoming children into a nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage and delivering a balanced education until the children leave us aged 11 at the end of Year Six.

We maintain strong links with St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, situated just yards from the school, and are very fortunate to benefit from an active parish community who are highly engaged with our school. We are similarly fortunate to benefit from incredibly dedicated Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) who, through the nationally recognised quality of their fundraising, support a wide variety of initiatives in school.
We work alongside the Lay Chaplain to plan and lead Acts of Worship during the year. We also take responsibility for the Prayer Room and special Liturgies during the year such as Rosary, Veneration of the Blessed Sacrament and Stations of the Cross. We welcome visitors and perspective parents into school and show them around school.
Inspection reports and school results data are of course important guides to how well our school is performing. They do, however, provide only part of the overall picture. In addition to great academic outcomes, we strive hard to provide a rounded education rooted firmly in our Catholic values.

I'd encourage you to consider the information about our values, curriculum and ethos contained on this website along side these results to get a complete view of our performance. The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection. In partnership with the leadership team, governors and more recently the trust the school has joined, you have set about raising aspirations for all pupils.
At St. Peter's, we are committed to providing a high quality education for all children at our school which enables them to achieve their best and become confident individuals. Every teacher is a teacher of every child, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. We have high aspirations and expectations for all pupils, including those with special educational needs.
The existence of the CMAT provides new ways for our schools to work together. Children benefit from the expertise of staff from across the schools, and they will have increased opportunities to work with young people from other schools also. Training for our staff will provide even greater quality in our classrooms, and better value for money will mean that more resources can be focussed in those classrooms.
