We booked our staff xmas party in July for 18th December 2021. A few weeks before the party the Omnicron variant apperared and we havd 4 employees off with covid 19. We asked bridgewood if we could cancel our party even if we lost our deposit and rebooked with them for next year as our employees were getting extremely concerned about mixing with strangers at a large event so close to xmas.
Bridgewood were not interested in what we had to say and said that no cancellations were available even though the covid rate was doubling every few days.
They are quite happy to turn a blind eye to the covid

Two friends and I had Christmas afternoon tea booked yesterday. When the food arrived it included smoked salmon/prawns together in one sandwich. I am allergic to prawns so the waitress said she would ask for plain smoked salmon. I waited 3/4 of an hour. I'm certain I would have mentioned the prawns allergy when booking. This lingering wait messed up the sequence of the remainder of our food. Meanwhile, we requested a further pot of tea, the pot came full of coffee, so another lengthy wait for the tea. I could go on. The service was poor, and the food was poor value for the £60.00 we paid between

As soon as we walked into the hotel we were greeted by Brooke who was lovely and helpful and made it easy to check in. When we went to our room we had a small issue with the bed. We phoned reception and spoke with Georgia who with such a quick fix changed our room within 15 minutes to an even better room. Amazing lady. Great nights sleep. To top it off going to breakfast we were greeted by Amy yet another wonderful staff member who really takes pride in the food and service of the buffet and customer service is second to none. Thank you to all the staff for a great nights stay. You are all polite

Just had an overnight visit with a group of 12.
The staff are wonderful at this hotel. Incredibly friendly, professional and helpful. They coped with our large group really well.
My spa treatment (Back Ritual) was heaven. And the pool area had a lovely relaxing area, sauna and steamroom.
Our bedroom room was very clean. There's plenty of sitting areas and as it's so spacious it felt covid safe.
The hotel is beautifully decorated for Christmas. However the Christmas music could do with being changed. I must have heard the same songs 4/5 times.
Breakfast selection is excellent. Lovely buffet

Not bad. We used a conference room (good space and all business needs catered for) and stayed one night. Not spectacular rooms, but everything you need for a work night stay. Really nice out door areas, and looked lovely with the decorations up.
Didn't have any time to use the spa, so don't know, and didn't eat so don't know about the restaurant.
The best things was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was amazing and really made me feel valued as a guest.

I was here for a four day conference and the staff were so sweet, kind and helpful! Shout out to Brooke who I met whilst checking in and checking out. She needs an ‘amazing staff member’ bonus!! The hotel already had its Christmas decorations up and the lounge was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was super (included in the price) but 4 stars as the dinner menu at the restaurant could be improved as well as the decor being refreshed. I didn’t use the spa/leisure facilities but my colleagues enjoyed them, although the hours were limited (and during the conference that was an issue for them)

I have visited for functions and meals several times. It is a pleasant hotel with lots of comfortable areas to sit and chat. The food is always excellent and the bar prices are very reasonable. All the staff are always pleasant and helpful. I have never stayed there, so I cannot comment on the rooms.

This is NOT a 4* hotel and neither was the service. Upon arrival I checked in with my partner, nothing warm about the place or even welcoming to say the least.
Day 1: not one staff member said hello to me or my partner or made us feel welcome at all.
The breakfast might I add was standard, I have stayed in (4*) and above hotels and the food was sub-par to say the least.
I didn’t want to stay in the hotel for the majority of time due to the constant stares from the residence and staff. I’m of mixed heritage and my partner is black.
The spa was hmmm, a small pond in the back. It should not
