Seedlings Preschool was set up in 2004 to provide play, education and care for children below school age in a stimulating, safe and caring environment. Our preschool welcomes children from the age of 18 months to 4 years and we are registered to accept funded places and childcare vouchers. Seedlings is a bright and welcoming preschool for children to grow and learn.
We provide a large indoor and outdoor space which children have free-flow access to throughout the day. We also have access to a woodland area and run regular Forest School activities across the week. We are rated as a Good provider by Ofsted.

Services
In Hedgehogs, we take children from the age of 18 months until around their 3rd birthday, and have a maximum of 12 children with us at a time. Our aim is to give children the best possible start to their early education, and help their development at their own pace.
The room is set up with a child led craft/messy area, role play area, a cosy quiet space where children are given the opportunity to rest or sleep if they need to, and a new, stimulating sensory space.Children have the opportunity during their daily routine to free flow the outside area, and access Forest School during the week.

In Barn Owls, children are with us from around their 3rd birthday until they leave us for school, with a maximum of 24 children at a time. There is some flexibility based on individual children's development as to when they join us - some come earlier and others are a little later, but this is discussed and planned for between the rooms as we know our children well.
We recommend that you schedule a visit to see what our preschool has to offer for your child. If you like what you experience, we can supply you with an application form and welcome pack, giving you some more in-depth information about how we run. As part of the application, we will ask you to complete a questionnaire about your child's interests and abilities to help us get to know them better, and ask that you pay a 15 registration fee.
