Purple Panda Nursery
We have a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, imaginative play and physical activities. The babies also participate in lots of sensory play every day. Our staff engage actively with your children to help develop their language and personal skills. We have more adult-led lessons in the Pre-school, but we continue to teach through play too.

The Nursery is located in a large, three-storey Victorian property, just a short walk from Norbury train station, which has frequent trains into London Bridge, London Victoria and Croydon. We encourage parents to attend the Nursery by walking or by using public transport, whenever possible. Our highly experienced and qualified staff offer a friendly and welcoming environment for parents and children.
Services
Purple Panda Nursery is a baby unit, day nursery and pre-school. We take children between the ages of seven months and five years. Purple Panda is divided into five separate rooms for children of different age groups and there is an additional building - The Sky House - which accomodates our Toddlers.
Our Nursery is led by one of our directors, Anthony Bailey, a former barrister in the City of London. He is supported by a very experienced deputy and four experienced room managers. We employ very qualified and experienced people who exceed the requirements of the regulations set out by the Children's Act 1989.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 2012 is a document for us, as early years providers, to help us support your child's learning and development from birth to five years old. All early years providers must follow the EYFS 2012. All registered early years providers are inspected to make sure they meet the legal requirements of the EYFS.
The Nursery is closed for three staff training days throughout the year. These training days take place in at Easter, in August and in December. We will give many months' notice of these training days, in order to provide parents with time to make alternative arrangements. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and we fully appreciate that parents lead hectic lives and are sometimes unavoidably delayed.
All of our nutritious meals are prepared from scratch by our dedicated chef, Gwen. We provide healthy and nutritionally, well-balanced meals, using only fresh ingredients and seasonal vegetables. There are at least two servings of organic fresh fruit every day. We also have bowls of fruit in the childcare rooms, so the children can help themselves to fruit.

This is a superb nursery. Naturally they are running a school for babies and toddlers, so there are always some ups and downs, but as a neighbour works for a nursery, we were in a unique position to compare. We have two beautiful daughters who were there from the ages of 2.5 years to school age (around 2 years in total).
Positives Excellent… provision of resources. There is always something new in the garden, both in terms of toys and climbing frames, running track and other bits and bobs they introduced animals for the children and indoors things get replaced when old. Everything was always

I would highly recommend this nursery; my son has been there since three months old and holds a close bond with staff. I don't feel concerned leaving him with Purple Panda Nursery for the day when I leave to go to Uni, because I know that he is in good hands and will be having a good day. Also, they are very helpful catering to Mummy's who are studying. :-)
