At Artisan the roar of the grinder kicks in once you've made your order so you know your coffee will be fresh every time. Artisan is a coffee focused, fun loving space that flirts with pushing design boundaries. We have built everything by hand around the Barista, so they have the space they need to prepare the most beautiful coffees.
Our Baristas treat each cup like a fine chef does a meal, taking pride and time to ensure each coffee is flawless. We continuously adjust the grind to allow for changes in the atmosphere, which is just one of the many steps we take to make sure your espresso is just right. Surprisingly our Baristas also like to clean.

Love this place but some of the new people they hired are either not friendly, or strange and awkward. The petite dark brown haired girl always has an off-putting sour look on her face and doesn’t interact, she just behaves like she hates being there, and the new guy with Asian heritage has super chaotic energy, scared eyes, and sweats a lot. I don’t mean this in a mean way, it’s just a big contrast to the long timers.

I've lived near this coffee shop for a while now. They make great quality coffee and have a very inviting atmosphere. During the pandemic, it was so difficult for the hospitality industry to function. They found a way to do so ethically and effectively. If you are in the area and want to support a great local business, stop by Artisan.

I’ve been getting my coffee from Artisan every morning before I go to work for the past few years. They hands down do the BEST coffee in Putney! The staff are also very friendly and love to have a chat with their regular customers. If you also fancy getting yourself a treat, the almond croissants and the ham and cheese toasties are incredible. Much better than those you would buy from nearby chain cafes on the high street. They also have a selection of Aussie treats such as lamingtons and ANZAC biscuits, if any other fellow Aussies ever want a taste of home.

This cafe is SO environmentally unfriendly. Everything is individually wrapped in plastic. You eat your croissant or cake from a plastic bag. You drink your coffee out of a take away cup even though you are having it in. The cutlery is also plastic. They generate enormous amounts of paper and plastic waste. My daughter asked for a toastie, they presented it in a bag and she was not given a plate. Really bad!!

Really friendly place with a nice coffee house vibe. We had hot chocolate, a breakfast muffin, and a batch brew coffee which they made fresh. It was all super yummy and prices were spot on too. You can accrue coffees on a card and get a free coffee or a spin of wheel which you can win up to 4x free coffee. Also leave your card on the wall for someone to use! Great place!

Not bad if you like your coffee served with a shot of attitude and arrogance. Would have been nice if they actually wiped our table down when they stopped us from sitting there as it 'had to be cleaned'. Coffee was average/poor. No idea why sandwiches are being kept uncovered at room temperature on their counter either when the sign on the wall asks you to check their fridge display. This place is definitely not child friendly either. To get to the toilets you have to walk into some filling cabinets with their stock sitting above them. The inside of the toilets also have splinter exposed unpainted

I ordered a Latte on 18th March at 2:30pm and it was served warm rather than hot. I returned it to the barista and she made a second. That too was warm. Later, I asked a member of staff if I could speak to the barista. The barista was chatting, arms folded, by the coffee machine.
Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to speak to the barista. Why I… don’t know. She wasn’t doing anything. Poor customer service. Pity, all the barista had to do was turn up the heat. Not hard. I see it all the time when I go to Starbucks, Costa Coffee and my local cafe.

Lovely coffee bar in Putney, Upper Richmond Rd. Excellent coffee and nibbles. Very popular with locals and passing cycle groups, so expect to queue. The banana bread and the avo and salmon on sourdough toast are both nearly perfect. We come down almost every weekend. They also have a great loyalty programme with a spin the wheel gambling twist.

I come to this place since it opened. Being a Putney residential, I appreciate more and more shops like this opening on the high streets.
Artisan arguably is one of the best coffee places in London, definitely in SW London. I particularly enjoy their flat white. It has the right strength for me. Their snacks and cakes are outstanding as well, however a little on the pricey side. I guess you have to pay for quality.
They have outdoor seating. As a keen cyclist I love to sit there and watch all the cyclist going out or coming back from Surrey and Richmond Park.
Staff is very friendly as well

Having recently moved offices to Putney, I am still looking for nice places for a good lunch and last week I checked out Artisan. Artisan is a nice and light coffee shop offering a range of savoury and sweet food, and perhaps most importantly Allpress coffee.
Allpress is one of my favourite roasters in London, so naturally I quite enjoyed my flat white at Artisan. The food was also very tasty and the overall atmosphere was good. I am sure that I will be back for another lunch soon.

I was really pleased when this place opened, since for a long time I've thought that Putney needs a cool coffee house. And this place does look cool. However, just like Greg Wallace's place great premise and presentation; sucky delivery. Firstly, it took me four visits to get a coffee here, because it seems to be permanently filled to the rafters with 'yummy mummies', prams and screaming children and the obstacle course and racket made me turn about heel, empty-handed, three times. I've since tried it twice. Both times, I had to wait an age for the coffee since they
