Our intent at St Edward's Catholic Primary School is that our History curriculum will help pupils to augment their cultural literacy and gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain's past and that of the wider world.
We aim to inspire pupils' curiosity about the past; teaching them to ask questions, think critically, understand, use and reflect on first hand and secondary evidence and develop an appreciation of where their lives fit in into the past as well as the future. We teach children to understand the complexity of people's lives in the past, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups.

Governors are volunteers who work in partnership with their school's Executive Principal to ensure that children receive the best education possible. The role of Governors is to support the school, being prepared to account for the school's overall performance. Governors are there to set the school's ethos and strategic direction.
The Trust's core purpose is to increase the number of children and young people participating in Catholic education, keeping them safe and offering pupils the opportunity to grow in confidence and maximise the potential. I have three grandchildren that have attended this school, the eldest being in year 8 at secondary school now and the other two still attending St. Edwards. Whilst it is true that there have been some trying times at this school, those are long behind St. Edwards! There has been teachers that have left, but there is also a large amount of staff that have remained with this school for a very long time. These staff are fully commited to the school and to our children. My grand children have always been happy at St. Edwards and have always excelled across the board in all their subjects, and most

I have sent all 3 of my children to St. Edwards and couldn't be happier with my choice. All 3 of my sons have been happy, confident and excelled at this school. I am also in the unique position that as an ex staff member I have also seen the inner workings of this school and can not praise the staff enough for their determination and sheer hard work. They work tirelessly to ensure every child reaches his or her full potential, as well as driving this school as a whole forward to recieve the recognition it deserves. I really have never experienced a school with such a warm and welcome, family orientated

To be honest, three stars is over-rating it but the only reason it's got that many is because of my friends there. The school's always trying to re-invent itself by changing the teachers and uniform( which is just STEALING the parents money) and have some incorrect ways of teaching. One of the teachers , who I don't know if I can name but his name rhymes with a type of seaweed, always acted aggressively towards a certain child, judged a boy from another country as:"dumb" and picked favoriotes. One of them(who has luckily left) said quote: " I give up" to me when I got a question wrong at 6 years
