The French Kitchen is a Somerset based catering company catering for events in the Bath, Bristol and Somerset area. We are located just outside the beautiful cathedral city of Wells in the Mendip Hills with fabulous views across the levels to Glastonbury Tor.
Surrounded by amazing produce we have established strong relationships with excellent local food suppliers to ensure we source the best produce for our menus and we respond to the changing seasons, adapting our menus accordingly.The French Kitchen prides itself on providing a high quality, professional and reliable catering service.

With our Delivered Meals at The French Kitchen we strive to deliver outstanding, restaurant quality dishes to be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home. Our Delivered Meals Menu is rooted in French cuisine with classic dishes and modern twists, and our chef Laurent has established strong relationships with local suppliers to source the best seasonal produce from Somerset.

At The French Kitchen we are dedicated to providing the personal touch to your wedding day. We will meet with you to discuss your exact requirements and develop a menu to reflect your occasion and budget.
We are caterers for a wide range of events from private dinner parties, weddings, birthday celebrations, corporate events, BBQ's, "posh picnics" and hen parties. Whatever the event we will work with you to develop the perfect menu and deliver delicious food, stylish presentation and impeccable service.
BBQ is served buffet style and is inclusive of wooden cutlery, biodegradable paper plates and chef. For a more formal event we can supply cutlery, crockery and staff. With this option the mains and salads are served at the table and is an additional 8.50 per person. Hog Roasts are for a minimum of 100 people.

Ben and his team were fantastic. From the food tasting prior to the wedding to the best wedding food both us and our guests have tasted. Nothing was ever a problem, the service was brilliant. The wedding cake was made the night before at 11pm to be as fresh as possible, perfect! We would highly recommend The French Kitchen for your event or wedding catering.

Cannot sing their praises enough. All of our wedding guests commented on how impressive the food was. We're really 'into' our food and were so delighted it tastes as good as it looks in the brochure. Plus Ben and the team were so incredibly helpful throughout the planning process and on the day itself were totally invaluable in terms of making the day run smoothly. They went above and beyond to ensure we and our guests had the perfect day.

Right from the start Ben (our event manager) was on hand to answer our multiple questions and help us pick a delicious menu (our guests were raving about it after!). You really can’t go wrong with picking food from the french kitchen or listening to Ben’s recommendations!

The food was delicious, and they catered to all our requirements - everyone on the day commented on how good it was!
Ben was great at communicating and was prompt, professional and friendly throughout all our calls and emails.

French Kitchen catered our wedding at Pennard House three weeks ago and the food was amazing. Everyone is still raving about the food - we had the slow cooked lamb main which was the best ever and the canapés were all utterly delicious. We hired the vintage ice cream tricycle as part of French Kitchen’s service which everyone loved, and made such a difference on such a hot day. French Kitchen were brilliant. All we wanted from our wedding was for people to go away full, watered and to have enjoyed themselves and that’s exactly what French Kitchen gave us. They far exceeded our expectations

You have been absolutely top class. Our day was everything we wanted and more and you honestly made such a huge impression on us and our guests. We have had so many comments back to say how amazing the food was and I think the empty plates were a testament to that! Our parents were really impressed and so were we, the service was amazing, our food came out and we looked up the table and everyone was served so quickly! It's the best service we have ever experienced at a wedding.

Ben and the French Kitchen team were absolutely fabulous in catering our wedding in June 2021. We peppered them with questions in the run up and they were always very response. The food at the wedding was beyond our expectations, beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, and the waiting staff made sure our guests' drinks were never empty. They were very flexible during the day and also made two specific dishes that weren't on their menu that we really wanted and had special meaning to us.
