Services
Oaks Apartment is a bright, cosy retreat for 2 people with an amazing location high in the Newlands Valley. Keskadale is the last farm before the top of the pass and has the privilege of beautiful views back down the valley as it nestles between the towering fells. Both the bedroom and living/dining room in the apartment have windows taking full advantage of these views which can be enjoyed at your leisure.
The caravan at Keskadale is situated on a traditional working farm with Swaledale sheep and Limousin beef cattle. You may also see the resident guinea fowl patrolling the fields and hedges. The caravan offers modest, clean, and comfortable accommodation in two bedrooms and an open plan living area boasting superb views across the valley.
From the A66 turn into Braithwaite on the B5292. After a few hundred yards take a left fork which will take you to a crossroads with a village shop on one corner. Turn left here and stay on this road for approximately 4 miles - at this point you are heading into Newlands Valley towards Buttermere. Keskadale Farm will be on your left after quite a sharp left hand bend followed by a short steep hill.

If you like the 70s this is the place to go, very old fashioned working farm with no mobile phone connection, so forget the internet!

Absolutely loved staying here in the beautiful Newlands Valley with Margaret who is a wonderful host. Fantastic staying on a working farm with local people who rightly adore the area where they live and work. Would totally, 100% recommend you stay here. Don't look anywhere else!

This holiday location is right out in the countryside, has beautiful views and is close to a pass that goes down to Buttermere. There is a waterfall nearby at the top of the pass. The cottage is comfortable and cosy. There is no WiFi and the free view TV set up disconnects for a few seconds every few minutes. If these things are not important to you and you are principally there for the idyllic setting and an otherwise good standard of accommodation, you will not be disappointed.
