We have a very loyal team of 5 staff, with many years experience. Most of our staff are parents themselves ranging from children in Infant school through to grown up children at university and beyond. The experience and qualifications of our staff contribute to our depth of skill and understanding of child development.
We are committed to ongoing training needs in all areas of Early Years Education for all staff that work within Playgroup. Once your child starts they will get to know all the staff who work on their day as staff rotas usually stay the same. The children become used to interacting with their key person and a variety of adults as well as other children.

Services
The educational programs at The Dawnay Playgroup were created with our children's needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Take a look below to learn more about each program. The Dawnay Playgroup are registered to accept children from 2 years onwards. Your child will be offered their place at the nearest start of term/half term to this age.
We are situated within the infant building of The Dawnay School, with sole use of our classroom and garden. Our permanent classroom enables us to provide well planned play which is a key way in which young children learn with enjoyment and challenge. We have a secure and fenced in garden for our sole use and as always the safety of the children is always a priority.
During the second half of the summer term, we provide school readiness sessions to help prepare the children for their transition to school. We took the children to the local library, a short walk from the playgroup. They had a lovely time taking part in this outing and experiencing what the library is all about.
