The Rosendale Pub
Originally a Victorian coaching inn, The Rosendale today is a magnificent public house serving simple, seasonal and sustainable food. Our meat is from the highest quality suppliers. Our vegan and vegetarian dishes could convince the staunchest of carnivores and our stone-baked pizzas made with artisan British charcuterie and cheeses are not to be missed.

We are also very proud of our excellent range of local ales, award-winning wines and innovative cocktails. Located in leafy West Dulwich, we have extensive gardens featuring a climbing frame for children and table tennis and boules for adults, as well as a handsome bar, elegant dining room and two beautiful private rooms ideal for parties.
Services
The Rosendale was bought by Three Cheers Pubs Co in early 2011 and underwent a major refurbishment before re-opening in May of that year. Three Cheers is a small collection of pubs in South London run by local boys Tom Peake, Mark Reynolds and Nick Fox, who opened their first pub, The Abbeville, in Clapham in 2003.
We can only accommodate groups of a maximum of six people from one household or support bubble. If your booking is of any other size or you can't find availability, please call 020 8761 9008. Please also let us know if there are any children coming and if you require a high chair or booster seat or space for a pram.
The all-new covered and heated Winter Garden is the perfect cosy, spot for mixed households to meet up this season. The landscaped Summer Garden is open from spring until autumn and houses the all-important Kids' Play Area as well the newly refurnished Patio.

The Side Garden is also open, complete with an all-weather table tennis, table football and a boules pit whilst the Front Garden, which is open all year round, offers plenty of space to sit back and enjoy a pint or bite to eat with friends. Our Summer Garden has just undergone a magnificent makeover.
If you are looking for an elegant but understated wedding, The Rosendale may be the venue for you. We've two beautiful private rooms, a handsome bar, sophisticated dining room, three outstanding gardens and even our own wedding license allowing you to enjoy your big day from start to finish. We serve simple, seasonal and sustainable food, as well as excellent ales, award-winning wines and innovative cocktails.

Booked a table at very short notice, so accommodated in the Back Garden. Seat coverings and heaters provided to mitigate against the bitter temperatures.
Absolutely first Class waiting from Beth - who remained friendly, efficient and attentive throughout - in spite of having to attend to a large pool of tables.
Food was good - excellent sharing dish of baked Camembert - certainly more than enough for two! The roasts were greatly appreciated. Fish and chips better than a lot (but had possibly spent a minute or two too long in the deep fryer).
Finished with Irish coffee - which was a little weak

Thank you Alex, Curtis and the whole team at The Rosendale! We had a great time yesterday at the combined adult and children's birthday we were hosting upstairs in the West Room. (As did all our guests). We really appreciate all your help in the lead up to the day, and of course at the event itself. The staff helping on the day were all so friendly, professional and welcoming to both the adults and kids. And, the food, drinks and all the service were fantastic (as usual, as we've come many times before for lunch and drinks). Thank you all so much, we look forward to coming back again!

We had a wonderful wedding reception at The Rosendale. Curtis and the team were amazing! Everything ran incredibly smoothly, so we were able to just relax and enjoy the day and we felt very looked after. In the lead up to the wedding, Sue and Curtis answered all of our questions and nothing felt like it was too much for them to arrange. Holly was very helpful with our wedding food tasting.
On the day, the team decorated the rooms upstairs beautifully, even suggesting the use of the fairy lights, which looked stunning with the bunting! The venue itself looks wonderful. Our guests have said that

Blew my expectations out of the water. I asked for Mayo and boy oh boy did they deliver.
5 pots of Mayo! Let’s go.
I’m serious, the only time I’ve had enough Mayo to satisfy my undying thirst.
Definitely would recommend to any other apostles of Mayo that desire perfection.

We are travelers from the U.S. and this was our first destination after our 10-day quarantine. We had a nice family time. The menu was great (I’m sure not the pre-COVID full menu). I had fish and chips; the rest of our group had the burriata and chicken salads and the risotto primavera. All selections were very good. I’d certainly recommend this for an afternoon out at a pub that is kid friendly, a good wine and cocktail selection, and enjoyable food.

I took my friend to the Rosedale for a proper English Sunday roast for Easter. They change their menu slightly each week, which means it is fresh. The pub is spacious and family friendly, but a more classy experience. His roast was generous and he seemed to enjoy it tremendously. My fish and chips was decent, but I think I would have been better off being more adventurous in hind sight. Its on a quiet residential street so has a lovely feel to it.

They have great outdoor space with the back area being very family friendly with a play area. The front section wraps around outside of the building (so if you don't want to hear screaming kids, sit here!)

We only had a few drinks but I really liked the pub. Clean, modern, welcoming.

They had a French style rotisserie chicken oven going out front which smelled amazing.

We booked this place for our annual Christmas dinner because of the 3 course set menu deal for £21.

However when we arrived we were told that was excluding Sunday's - although we'd double checked this with the manager on making the reservation. They said there wasn't anything they could do about this - even though it was their fault - but after much bartering they offered us £25 for a 3 course from the normal menu. So we accepted this.

For starter I chose the chicken liver terrine... The toast was stone cold despite the chargrilled affect and the terrine was pretty much tasteless

I would sum up today's Sunday roast experience as 'pleasantly surprised'. We have been meaning to try the roast here for months but I was always out off by the mixed reviews on various sites, but my partner convinced me we should at least try it. Service to begin was less than good - 5 staff standing around while we stood waiting to be shown to a table. However the girl who was looking after us was really lovely. Beat of all the roast beef was one of the best I've had locally in recent memory. Generous portions, lots of vegetables which weren't over-cooked, beef was delicious

Very average food and service for Sunday lunch, but even less appealing when overcrowded by families with unruly children (which seems to be the norm here). This pub should be avoided if you are seeking a relaxed, more peaceful setting.

We've just moved to the area and the Rosendale is our new local. And on the whole, it's a pretty good place to have as your local we sometimes go there for Sunday lunch, the service is pretty good, the food is good too although I do wish they wouldn't smother the pasta in olive oil ('drizzle' is the word, guys, not 'flood').
But in fact the best thing about the Rosendale is that it's just a really nice place to go for a drink, it's very comfortable and spacious with a choice of big sofas or traditional tables and chairs. It tends not to get too crowded
