A great place, super cute (upstairs for dinner). I wouldn't suggest it for beer downstairs since it is super noisy. We had the burger and the trout and they were both great, super tasty and big portions. The come brulle was very tasty as well. The italian lady was very welcoming with the service. A nice choice for an affordable dinner in a pub.

A nice quiet pub, even on England vs Scotland match day. Managing lady is friendly and really helpful. A nice location for a chat or a night out with a small group. Might be tricky for a group bigger than 4. Decent food, they serve their own lager which is decent. Will be visiting again.

I was at the reopening if this cute pub last Saturday. I was pleased to see it's not the typical smelly pub, instead the decor it's vintage and elegant and the atmosphere is very cozy. I tried a porter beer, haggis scotch egg, pork belly with shallots and mash and an indulgent toffee banana dessert, very good food indeed . All rinsed down by a nice bottle of red wine.
It was a lovely evening, with good food and drinks, lovely staff, in a cozy pub, will be back for more!
My only note : leave the skin on that pork belly! :)

Lay Ottoline continues the trend in London of quality gastropubs and does it very well. The pub itself has classic decor with wood panels and ornate lighting to give a warm and welcoming vibe. The staff are all well versed in the drinks and food available, are friendly and willing to help with any requests.
The food is cooked to a good standard and as the same owners as the Princess Victoria near Shepherds Bush, their scotch eggs are particularly good.
The daily menu tends to change depending on what seasonal produce they have and is more akin to relaxed fine dining rather than pub grub. The

Fresh clean and well prepared food. Good selection of wine and ales. Table service. Lovely atmosphere. Attentive staff. Only bugbear is the menus are so posh I can't even read most of it. It's very upper crust and priced as such. Oh and... for a £14 burger 🍔 you better grind the meat on site so it can be served rare... even Medium rare. Jeez
