Just moved to the area and wanted to sample my new local! Service was a little bizarre, food was slow and arrived burnt / overcooked (all 4 dishes). Was also expensive for what it was at £80 for 3 people (3x main dishes, a side and 3 drinks). Will not be returning, sadly.

This is a beautifully decorated pub, with not one but two open fireplaces and a nice private back garden / courtyard with seating for smokers. The triple cooked chips are fantastic and the staff welcoming and friendly. Comfortable and cosy - recommended!

Absolutely fantastic pub! We had our sons christening, and my birthday at the Palmerston. The staff are friendly and accommodating, Nicola was superb, she and her colleagues looked after us all throughout - we will be back! (for my mums 70th)

The holidays were a bit strange for us this year as for many but it was so nice to treat ourselves to a gorgeous meal here on Christmas Day. The staff were so friendly and there was a really warm atmosphere among the clientele. For me, the star of the show was the duck. Absolutely gorgeous. Our other main the halibut was delicious too but could have done with crispier skin. Overall, we really enjoyed our food. I'll happily come back to scoff more of it 😋

Love this pub soooo much we used it for our wedding after-party. The staff went above and beyond and their food is amazing! Scotch eggs... hands down best in London

I didn’t like my roast lamb - it was chewy, the roast potatoes were not crispy on the outside, the veg was not nice. However, the Yorkshire pudding was lovely. The staff were lovely and did well to attend to a large party that included young children. My friends seemed to like their meals.

Right at the top of my road. Typical Youngs pub shabby chic decor but I'm a fan of that so all good. Guinness is pretty good but at £5.85 really too expensive for the location. Staff are all very friendly and plenty of outdoor seating if you require. Food's good but expensive....or maybe I'm a cheapskate 🤣 I'd visit more often if the drinks were a more reasonable price as it's all downhill on the way home! Oh and the tap on the middle sink in the gents has been loose for years now, a simple maintenance fix.

Came here to cool off in the shade after a long walk on the heath, the staff were very friendly and attentive, a friend and I both went for the burger, which was really nice and needed! All in all a really nice pub, fantastic loos, and the interior decor was really suave.
