Secluded from the hustle and bustle of Kentish Town & Camden - the Lion and Unicorn nestles in the backwash of Kentish Town High Street. A real pub gem with not one but two award-winning gardens to choose from! There is no place better to sit in the sun - cocktail in hand, enjoying one of our fabulous Sunday Roasts.
We're no cocktail lounge (well, not really) but we'll make you the Bloodiest Mary or the quintessential G&T - or any of the classic combinations you'd expect from a top-notch bar. Our food moves with the seasons and ever-changing specials, speak of a passion for freshness and invention. Embrace your rampant carnivore or channel your inner vegan - we bring both to the table with equal flair.

Services
Our Sundays are proper. Double egg Yorkshire Puddings, lashings of gravy and meats roasted throughout the day, sharing platters and Vegan wellingtons, we have something for everyone! We are firm believers in using local produce wherever possible, always fresh, ethically sourced and handled with care.
We like to keep busy at The Lion & Unicorn so there's always plenty going on, check our calendar here for the latest events and you can follow us on Twitter @thelionunicorn for up-to-the-minute news. Join us for the best day of the week as we create your Perfect Sunday. Our chefs would love to feed you one of their five choices from our roast menu, created lovingly using the freshest, seasonal British ingredients.
Above our pub sits The Lion and Unicorn Theatre; one of London's most creative fringe theatres. The theatre plays host to a wide variety of contemporary plays, new writing and home to the well acclaimed Camden Fringe Festival every summer. We look forward to the theatre reopening their doors in due course.

Don’t underestimate this little local pub: with a real fireplace roaring in the winter. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff, Including at lunch hour, outdoor seating under heaters. And TO DIE FOR Lunch fried chicken burger, reminds me of American southern fried chicken- actually melts in your mouth but has the crunch. I wish they’d put it on the dinner menu.. I’d have it more often. Id post a photo but it’s too late…

After walking around Kentish town on a cold winter's day, being able to have proper hearty meal in a cosy and warm atmosphere really put the Lion & Unicorn as one of the best pubs in North London. Had the 21day aged rump steak with seriously thick (and delicious) triple cooked chips and a reasonably priced bottle of Merlot to go with it. My wife had the Beetroot Risotto which was actually the surprise of the evening, earthy yet slightly sweet. If I'm in the area again, I'll 100% be dropping in!
