Established for 20 years now, we offer a nursery and pre-school as well as after school and holiday clubs that run from many locations across Essex. Caring for over 800 child places per week. We serve the towns and villages geographically situated within the areas of Saffron Walden, Newport, Colchester, Halstead, Earls Colne, Dunmow, and Steeple Bumpstead as well as all the surrounding schools who choose to signpost to us.
Olivers Lodge is owned and run by Alex Suffolk, she has a large team of staff ensuring that ratios remain within OFSTED regulations. All staff either hold an NVQ or they are studying towards one. They are all pediatric first aid and safeguarding trained. We also have SENCO staff across all settings so we can offer a fully inclusive practice.

Services
Come and join us in the newly refurbished building offering breakfast club and after school club. Breakfast club children can arrive anytime from 7.45am and enjoy toast with various spreads or one of a large choice of cereals, porridge plus milk, juice and water. When the children arrive for after school club, they can help themselves to juice or water and a biscuit.
Olivers Lodge - Dunmow runs a breakfast club from 0745, this currently serves children who attend Dunmow, St Mary's school. In our lovely bright building, Olivers Lodge, Dunmow runs an after school club from 3.00pm that collects the school. When the children arrive they can help themselves to juice or water and a small snack.
We offer a professional expert childcare service for children aged 4 years upwards. We provide full days of planned fun and activities, in house workshops and occasional trips out. Internal workshops include days such as African drumming, street dance, science workshops, mega inflatable days, go karts and many other fun activities.

Over the past 20 years Olivers Lodge has seen an increase year on year of children living in poverty and coming under safeguarding, with 2020 escalating the situation and finally becoming the icing on the cake.
I know we cannot make life better for each and every child, but Olivers Lodge will try and do its upmost to do what it can, not just during and straight after this horrendous pandemic, but ongoing into the future and for as long as it can as this is a perpetual situation and one that we cannot see disappearing for a longtime to come.As well as fundraising throughout the year, we also felt that we needed to have a big event next year.
