Marchmont House Care Home is a private nursing home tucked away in leafy secluded grounds in the Inverclyde hillside above Port Glasgow. With expansive views over the river Clyde from a large secured decking area outside, on the inside the Home offers a superior standard of care in a specifically adapted traditional mansion house.

You can feel safe and secure in the knowledge that our home meets all the relevant fire, health and safety, anti-discriminatory and risk management practices. Marchmont House has a smoke free policy. All the Home's policies and procedures are available at all times for your perusal.

Marchmont House provides the perfect blend of traditional and modern, our residents enjoy Marchmont's state of the art upgraded and newly built accommodation and facilities, while retaining the charming period features of our home which are so admired by our residents. The Home offers three spacious lounge areas, a lounge/dining area as well as a large dining room; each is bright and sunny and provides an excellent location for meeting friends.
From the moment you arrive at Marchmont House, our staff will do everything possible to ensure that your stay will be welcoming and comfortable. Prior to admission, our Head of Care will be delighted to have a full consultation with you, to discuss your needs and requirements, and tell you more about Marchmont House Care Home.
Our Head of Care is supported by the Depute Manager and professional qualified nurses, each of whom have a particular interest in care of the elderly and are experienced in caring for those with physical disabilities, those who are terminally ill, those with high dependency needs and those who become infirm.
We recognise the importance and value of our staff, and ensure they have the skills necessary to carry out their respective jobs. You can be confident that the number of staff on duty at all times will be sufficient to provide full support and meet your care needs. Our Head of Care has many years' experience working within care homes and has overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Home and for general resident welfare.

Having visited many nursing homes within the Inverclyde area we found Marchmont Nursing Home to be the best. I would describe it as excellently maintained and is very homely. The staff are amazing and level of care is to be highly commended. When we go to visit mum the atmosphere is like stepping into a family members home with staff being like additional family. The home is spotless and catering of the highest standard. The level of care given is excellent. The in house activities are amazing, there is always something going on for residents to participate in. At first I would call every day to

My mum was there for nearly 8 years. Mum was looked after so well, i could talk to anyone at any time. Staff are amazing, i had no worries about my mum fantastic home

Friendly staff who do an amazing job looking after my mum , she enjoys being in Marchmont and gets on fantastically with members of staff and other residents. The manager of the home along with her staff are doing a great job redecorating the home the changes so far have been great , nice bright colours and very fresh newly painted rooms .
