Our dad was neglected during closedown for corona virus, we were in all the time before this, and was feeding and encouraging our dad to eat, during co vid our dad lost 4 stone and died of malnutrition and dehydration, the good thing now is no more old people, will be getting admitted to 3rd floor of this awful place, as we were told, for every old resident that goes, will be replaced with younger residents, as they get more money for them, this is the truth, short of staff all the time. Closed down big dinning room and moved all residents to smaller one, because not enough staff, one hand doesnt

As a former member of staff, I can say wholeheartedly that it is the worst place I have worked and I would beg people not entrust the care of their loved ones to this establishment. The owners care more about profits then their staff and patients. They had been claiming the tax for me 4 months after I had left. The food the patients got was poor quality and the equipment we had to use was below the standard that we should have been using for the residents we had. They have had so many complaints form relatives and staff about poor treatment of residents. Applecross is not the nice nursing home

Applecross nursing home nursed my brother John Dobson during the last 2 weeks of his life. They did the most fantastic job caring for him. I’d like to thank all of the staff, particularly Louisa who was fabulous, always keeping us informed and helping us to understand what would happen next. Paul, who my brother regularly asked for, so he must have been very kind. Also John who I would call every night, would take the time to chat to me and let me know how my brother was doing. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for John in the short time he was with you. I know

My mum had to go into Applecross in October 2017 after being diagnosed with early stages Dementia and terminal cancer. The process of having to find a care home was stressful and in truth we picked Applecross as it had space rather than any particular preference.
It is situated in nice quiet grounds with an older building and more modern extension. Inside the standard of room is adequate rather than exceptional however it is the level of care that most impressed us. Every one of the staff really took time to get to know my mum and were always attentive to her needs. They really did seem to care

Not a good nursing home very small rooms very lazy staff please DO NOT put your loved ones in this awful place. Nine of the 12 complaints found true by care commission .my mother was in an awful state, then after her death they sent a bill out after 6 months and after they had been neglectful to my mother.
