A pub with a long history of revitalising customers & providing respite for weary travellers & locals alike (since 1792). We want to do our best to keep both staff and customers safe and hope that you will support us in this. We ask that, where possible, customers continue to wear face masks unless seated at their table; use our one way system; use our sanitising stations at all entry points and 'check in' using the test and trace QR code.
We will continue to provide table service for drinks and ask customers not use wait at the bar, provide at least 1m between tables where we can and continue our rigorous cleaning schedules. If you need any further information on the procedures we have in place please do not hesitate to give us a call.

Services
With a long history of revitalising customers and providing respite for weary travellers and locals alike (since 1792), under the direction of Agostinho Faria, we are proud to be the next chapter in the story of The Livesey Arms. Having undergone a total revamp lifting this ancient inn into the 21st century, renovations have included a state-of-the-art kitchen, more dining space and open fires for snug autumn evenings.

We met friends for a pre Christmas lunch today. The lunch menu was superb and very reasonably priced. We all had three courses and we all said how well the food was cooked. It was perfect.
The decor was lovely with a roaring fire and the staff were friendly, helpful, but not obtrusive.
I recommend it highly.

Four adults and one infant went for sunday lunch.
The menu was varied and we all opted for 2 course meal for £25 each.infant had childs meal.
Three had the lamb roast and one had chicken roast.
All enjoyed their main courses.
Dessert was sticky toffee puddings, pear sponge and chocolate mousse, all very delicious and enjoyable.
The service was excellent.
Bill came to £115, which was reasonable.
Will definitely go again.

What a gem!
We stumbled across this beautiful village pub whilst searching Google and we were very pleased we did.
From the wonderful village setting, to the well thought out design and decoration, this is a wonderful location for dinner.
And what a dinner it was! Wow. This is possibly one of the best meals we’ve had. It was sublime. The pork belly was melt in the mouth and the goats cheese bon bons were heavenly.
This is far more than a village pub!
The building has some great history which has many ‘doths of the cap’ inside. Seating outside helps you feel like you’re one of the locals
