Services
The NHS in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland wants to remind patients that medical care is still available when their local GP practices are closed. If you aren't sure what services are open, or you need to talk to a clinician immediately, please call NHS 111. They're free to call, open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and can tell you what services are open closest to you.
If your GP regularly prescribes for you, he/she may feel it is appropriate to offer the facility to allow you to obtain further supplies of your medication without having to see him/her on every occasion. For reasons of safety, we cannot accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone. If your GP has put you on Repeat Prescriptions, please ensure that you order them using the re-order form printed with your last prescription.
If you are unsure if you are eligible, just ask a member of staff. If you are aged between 16 & 75 and haven't been seen for 3 years or are over 75 and haven't been seen for 12 months please feel free to make an appointment for a well person check. Your GP may refer you to one of our Practice Therapists.
Please remember to notify us immediately if your address or telephone number changes from when you registered in case we have to contact you urgently. We recommend that you attend for a new patient medical check, with the nurse or Health Care Assistant. This enables us to record any past medical history, record any medication you take and note any allergies you may have.
Lynne Birch and Nicole Green are the Practice Nurses in attendance at various times, who can provide for a range of services, including dressings, ear syringes, injections (including holiday vaccinations) and general health advice. In addition, the Practice Nurses are responsible for managing many chronic disease clinics, such as Asthma, Diabetes and Hypertension.

Good doctors let down badly by staff who think more about what suits them and less about their customers. I was trying to sort out a prescription that had been sent to the wrong place with one reception staff when she sat in front of me and pulled her mask down over her chin. I politely asked her if she would mind putting her mask on properly only to be met with a barrage of excuses ( glasses steam up etc.) In a very defensive and strong manner.

My partners been suffering with an ear infection for over 2 months.
He just keeps getting antibiotic spray given to him with no follow up or phone call to discuss.
There's no surprise that it's no longer responding to treatment as its probably completely resistant.
Every time he calls to get an appointment they say there's no appointment and told to call back the next day - this is not the lottery its peoples health!!!
He was eventually offered an appointment 2 weeks away despite the fact that he'd developed pain and blocked feeling in the ear (BOTH RED FLAG WARNING SIGNS).
He called again

Absolutely shambolic, I have an easier time working in sales getting past receptionists than this one. Should really do their job, and cease the inquisitive nature of their questoning.
I am surprised to see any good reviews here, knowing many Birstall residents who are disgusted by this poor practice.
I shant name any particular doctors, however your practices are decades behind, and there is something deeply suspect about your diagnosis'/treatments for ailments. You should be ashamed, you are viewed with utter disdain for the half-arsed attempt at medical care. Used to be fine, as for recent
