She won a place as a mature physiotherapy student at Hertfordshire University, and has continued developing her skills training in Pilates & acupuncture.
Rachel qualified in 1986 with a BSc Honours degree in physiotherapy from the Royal London Hospital. She worked in London, Canada and Germany before moving to Hertfordshire in 1996, and has over 25 years of experience working in hospital, private practice and the community.
Rachel specialises in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, and also has a particular interest in neurological conditions and their treatment, particularly in a community setting.I believe that every person should be treated as an individual. Accurate assessment and tailored treatment, particularly aiming towards daily function at the appropriate level, and guidance on an ongoing personal exercise programme will optimise recovery.

Fantatsic! After months suffering with pain in my thigh I went to see Mark. Mark's knowledge is second to none and he has helped me understand the injury as well which is so useful. After 3 shockwave treatments running is now so much better, it was amazing seeing the difference between treatments, often its only when you refer back that you realise just how much better something is!

I needed urgent treatment for a trapped nerve in my shoulder caused by poor posture working at home on a lap top during lock down. Not only did I receive excellent treatment but I was very impressed & reassured by the Covid19 precautions taken by the practice. My pain is much improved after only one treatment & I would recommend anyone to attend & not be deterred by the Government's lock down measures.

Reception staff are brilliant. We've all seen Mark Adshead there who did my husbands aftercare physio for his full knee replacement and my sons leg after a football injury. They have always been outstanding and Mark is great at what he does. My son has Tourette's syndrome along with other complex needs and Mark just took it with a pinch of salt and was very accommodating to his needs, friendly and explained everything down to the last detail. We wouldn't go anywhere else now for a physiotherapist 11/10
