Physio 23
One of the oldest recorded forms of medicine, Physiotherapists are using acupuncture as an adjunct to manual treatments, and there is good evidence for its effectiveness. Modern science has shown that acupuncture stimulates the brain to produce natural pain relieving chemicals, endorphins. These assist the body to heal itself and give pain relief.

We offer a high quality service for neck & back, joint & muscle problems; sports injuries; acupuncture; Pilates; post-operative breast surgery; Chronic Fatigue Syndrome CFS / ME; the treatment of all children's problems from developmental delay, walking abnormalities, complex disabilities; neurological disorders, strokes, MS, falls; headaches, "pain" to name but a few.
Services
Whether you have hurt your neck, back or shoulder, pulled or strained a muscle or ligament, or just have posture related pains from bad working positions, Physiotherapy can help you recover quickly and return to full function. I had an excellant experience with Physio 23 and would definately recommend their services.
A chartered physiotherapist who specialises in neurological conditions will help you to move and function better in order to make life easier and more enjoyable. This is achieved by maximising your physical potential by maintaining or increasing specific skills. It is always advisable to seek treatment from a neurological physiotherapist as soon as possible.
Physiotherapy for children, aims to provide a family centred, fun method of developing skills. We work with children who have a variety of disabilities or conditions which impact on their functional skills. With well qualified and experienced staff, I find this organisation (Physio 23), conscientious and dedicated, to the wellbeing of its patients.
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E) also commonly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a chronic fluctuating disease. The onset can be gradual or sudden. Symptoms vary from person to person and may be mild, moderate or severe. Feeling extremely tired or exhausted most or all of the time, is one of the main symptoms.
Clinical Pilates is a modification of traditional Pilates, developed by Physiotherapists in keeping with modern research findings. It is a combined mind-body technique that focuses on strengthening muscles around the spine and pelvis, and correcting problems with posture. This is achieved through a progressive series of special exercises, which increase in intensity, as these muscles get stronger.
