Hambledon Preschool is based in the heart of the idyllic rural village at the foot of the downs, and was established over 25 years ago. We make the most of the exceptional surroundings and are outside as much as possible, taking part in woodland walks, exploration, and art projects. We are aiming to be "Plastic-Free" and prefer more durable materials for play such as enamel and wood where possible.
Based in the Youth hut we have excellent links with Hambledon Primary School. We also provide a walking shuttle service for after-school club from the primary school to the preschool. Our Afterschool club is for children aged 2 to 11 and we pick up from Hambledon Primary School.

Services
At Hambledon Pre-School we aim to provide a safe and happy learning environment for every child with a focus on their individual needs. We are proud of our well qualified and dedicated team of staff who care and provide for the children. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and cover all seven of the learning areas throughout the curriculum by means of topic related activities.
Jane originally trained at level 3 early years as a practitioner with Senco responsibilities and then went on to do assessing and verification processes. She qualified as a teacher specialising in Early years and Health and Social Care. She has a love of supporting children and watching them develop, and says "I particularly enjoy seeing that 'lightbulb' moment when a child sees and understands how to do something for the first time".
If you would like your child to attend the Pre-School, please download an application form. Children attending the morning session may stay for lunch for an extra 5.40. All day sessions (6hrs) available at 32.40 per day. These fees are payable until the term following your child's third birthday. Thereafter your child will be entitled to the Nursery Education Grant, which at present is 15 hours per week, per term.
