As a family, we are all passionate about Pre-owned & Antique Jewellery and we are always happy to share our knowledge. We believe that our collection exemplifies the very best from a range of time periods in our history. The Business was started in Plymouth in 1887 by William G Capps having served his apprenticeship since the 1860's as a watchmaker.

William's son Reginald William Capps started his apprenticeship with his father for three years and then went to Jersey for a further two years to do his Improvers. Having completed his apprenticship he opened a shop in Westwell Street Plymouth, using the name 'Wray' - Which was his grandmother's maiden name as his father was still trading as W G Capps.
Services
In our workshop, our expert jewellers are able to undertake repairs, alterations and restoration of your jewellery to fit your exact measurements whilst maintaining its original charm. We do have a minimum charge of 30.00, due to the time in making the assessment. All the descriptions are typed and we can also provide photographs with the documentation.

Had a bracelet resized to fit better. This jewellers is attentive to detail, gave great advice, provided a fantastic speedy service and I would definitely recommend and use again. A level of service you don’t get with the big chain jewellers.

It is extremely rare for me to write a review on any retailer. However, I felt I had to redress the balance having read a very critical report. My wife, before she died 6 years ago, was a regular customer and, even more frequently, window shopper. Therefore when I decided, at long last, to replace a stone in one of my her rings I did not hesitate to take it to Wray's. My faith was well rewarded. I was given an estimate for the replacement of the stone but I was also advised that it might be necessary to replace all three stones because of the possibility of subsequent differences in appearance

Purchased my wife a ring through eBay. The ring is beautiful and a lot of her friends comment on its uniqueness. The staff at Wray and Co dealt with me through email and FaceTime to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I would recommend them to everyone shame I live thousands of miles away.

I took in an old ring that belonged to my late mother in law along with a ring my husband had bought me several years ago. Both rings had sentimental value but we're in need of a lot of tlc. The gentleman in Wrays listened to what I wanted and talked me through different options at various prices. I chose to have the gold from both rings melted down and the diamonds placed in a new setting. Today Wrays have delivered my ring to me, it's stunning and I am truly overwhelmed. Thank you so much for the care and creativity in recreating a unique ring that I can wear and pass on to my children in the

In my opinion you should stay well away from this company. They gave me bad advice when I bought a product, charged me to fix it, and refused to replace it when the glue they used to mend my ring gave me a severe allergic reaction. They were also extremely rude and difficult to deal with.
