Services
Built as a private residence in 1827 this building first became a village inn in 1845. In those early days it was named the Five Ringers after the bell-ringers who slaked their thirst here after tolling the bells in All Saints church opposite - a happy tradition that continues to this day. Many years later the inn was re-named The Parson Woodforde after the 18th century diarist and Parson in the Parish of Weston Longville.
You won't find games machines, alcopops or micro-waved meals here. You will find a spacious and comfortable bar, a lively pub atmosphere, genuinely friendly staff, great local brews and delicious freshly prepared food. Whether you want to perch at the bar and share some friendly banter with our locals or relax in a quiet corner with a drink and a book, you and your family will enjoy a traditional Norfolk pub experience in The Parson Woodforde.
Our restaurant is a lovely open-plan dining room where traditional oak-beams and contemporary furnishings create a harmonious and relaxing ambience. It's the perfect setting for you to enjoy a romantic dinner, family celebration or night out with friends. Our Head Chef and his brigade are passionate about food.
After a good meal and a glass or two of wine isn't it nice sometimes to simply step upstairs and finish your night off in style staying in a luxurious and peaceful room? We've got five beautifully appointed en-suite rooms (three with king beds, two with doubles) and our rates include your choice from our award-winning breakfast menu served with a plentiful supply of fresh coffee or tea.
If you love cycling, The Parson's the place for you. We're avid fans of the big race events and are proud of Britain's brilliant achievements in the Tour de France and the Olympics. Of course cycling's not just for the professionals - more and more people of all ages are having fun and staying fit by getting on their bikes.

Pleasant pub /restaurant in Norfolk. Fare-sized dining area with chairs with arms! Went for Sunday lunch and main meal was excellent, plenty to eat and well prepared. Some veg a little crunchy. Desserts were £7 each and some were a little disappointing others good portions. Coconut and lime creme brulee that I had didn't taste of Coconut ar all and not strong lime. Gravel car park with level entrance and no steps to dining area. Men's toilet although clean was disappointing in that the cubicles were so small you had difficulty closing the door. 3 Urinals had skylight above which is overlooked

A group of us went for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The menu was superb and everyone enjoyed their meals. One of us requested a starter served as a main, supplemented with a portion of chips, two others ordered from the 2 or 3 course lunch specials, seafood platters were chosen by 3 others (two taking advantage of the sharing one) and one chose liver and bacon. Nobody had anything negative to say about their choice, although not all of us had room for desserts.
The staff were very attentive without being a nuisance.
Would we go there again? You bet - there are still more choices on

We stayed for 1 night on our way back from the coast. We had a double room which was nice if a bit small. We had dinner and the food was lovely and the staff amazing. Breakfast was really nice. The only negative for us was that the rooms are quite close together and not very soundproof so you can hear everything including people in the bathroom. The mattress was also very soft and we prefer something firmer but thsts just personal choice.
